Two questions. Does any one know if there are anode (s) on this model and if not, why not?
I have the parts breakdown manual and couldn’t find it, but it’s over 120 pages long given it includes similar models. It’s possible I missed it.
Mine is within a sound shield and very difficult to see from all angles. Ironically I recently had the shield off but was focused on cleaning up changing my coolant change and wasn’t looking for an anode.
Anyway, I was just curious about that given I change my main Volvo engine anodes every winter. And in addition I have heard of other generators that do have zinc anodes.

View the latest post Original TV connections on 3207

I just bought a 1984 3207 and it still has the TV cable port and cable connections in the three cabins. Does any one still have these and use them? It seems like a hot spot is really all the family needs.

View the latest post Source maintenance parts for 5.7L online

I just bought a 1984 Carver 3207 and I have a couple of questions.

1. What's a good online source for external engine consumables?
Distributor caps
Points, condensers, rotor buttons (I'll be upgrading to electronic at some point)
Plugs
Plug wires
Thermostats
Gaskets
Hoses
Filters
Belts

2. From the above list, which part need to be marine grade?

Thanks.

View the latest post [1991 26 command aka 28 Sedan] Bilge logistics

So here I was: the boat smells like Diesel and I got to the conclusion that fuel was spilled along the fuel tank.

So I thought up all kinds of really smart ways to clean it all under there.

And then I found out that up forward, under the 'bed' there's trouble: water has been seeping through a badly positioned wire-through hole in the anchor locker, along the bow center, under the carpets towards the area above the bow thruster. Result: rotten floor and a foul smell.

Removed the soft parts of the floor and found that the bilge around the fwd thruster has a small hole towards the area under the fuel tank

This leads me te believe (well... hope) that there IS a hole for liquid to flow from front to back to the engine room's bilge. Is this a reasonable conclusion?

What I will do:

remove the water tank (it's in the way of any holes (for fuel lines and power cables) between living area and engine room), Perhaps remove completely and mount a flexible 120 litres water 'tank) up front. That should reveal what is and what is not available as 'route' for bilge water from the front to the back. Anyone know what to expect?

And I will devise an air ventilation that sucks air from the fuel tank area into the bilge (diesel, no vapor risks), with a small 0,something mA fan to minimse any smell buildup in the living area. The boat is on shore power or engines running most of the time anyway so battery power loss is no big issue, I will however, add a battery saver (shut off below 11,xx V).

View the latest post Attachment(s) 1978 Carver santa cruise problem with shift box

1978 25.5 ftCarver Santa cruise cabin cruiser. Duel helm set up both mechanical lines are working. The part where you shift it from top or to bottom is not working correctly and at the same time connects both helms for steering to the stern drive(Btw is a volvo penta?) It has 3 square tubes in a aluminium box that top rail for top helm middle goes to stern mechanical line, bottom of square rail is for cabin steering. Middle square tub has shifter engages top and bottom helm. I don't know exact name for it or terminalogy, whats the name , maybe systematic it is why I'm here? :banghead:
but with your :help: , with the name I can get a break down of it and then I can fix it? hopefully ,maybe I can finalie go fishing :help:

View the latest post New to Carver and new to the group.

Purchased our Carver 530 Voyager in December, currently in the Chesapeake. Just getting her out for a few excercise trips before we leave in May for Lake Erie.

Fantastic boat, the big Volvos are very strong. If there was a problem it is that even in idle the boat goes about 6 knots. I think the first owner changes the prps out for high cruise.

Come vist us at Cedar Point Marina!

View the latest post I can"t find my seacock!

:banghead: I just bought this boat. I flushed the toilet when I got onboard and it sprayed me in the face! I am not getting water to the bathroom so I assume my valve is closed. I have looked and looked and I cannot find it. I do not know if this is a fresh water system or what. It is a 1993 carver express. I know it is stupid of me but due to my parents health it's where I live and everything has happened so fast. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
