Restoreing a Carver 2557 twin 3.7

Postby Stingray » December 1st, 2022, 3:45 pm

Hello everyone new here. I'm a commercial service Tech for commercial cooking equipment. I picked up this Carver a year ago and it was supposed to be turnkey ready we all know how that goes. I've invested little over $25,000 in new parts and upgrades. I wish I documented what I've done to the Carver as I went along because it's really quite interesting. Here's my question I was upgrading some of the wiring inside the boat . I was installed a new grounding bar in the cabins 12 V electrical Box the grounding in there was very much inadequate. I accidentally hit the ground wire against the 12 V bus on the electrical panel and blue the breaker or fuse from the battery to the panel. Normally this isn't an issue for me But I had surgery 5 months ago and digging around these compartments is very difficult for me at the moment. Any knowledge anybody has could be a big help . The schematics shows an Orange wire coming from the battery to the breaker Box in the cabin and it should be fused. But I can't find where they tied into the engine or battery. And again thank you for any help anybody can give me.
