Trailer Suggestions 28' Santa Cruz

Postby jfuhri5 » June 29th, 2023, 4:41 pm

I just acquired a 1979 28' Santa Cruz that I will need to put on dry storage in the winters. Would any one have any suggestions on trailer size, make or model? If any one knows of a trailer that is for sale? The boat is in Maine.
Am I waisting my time with a trailer?

Many Thanks!

All Boat and no way to get it there...

You might check with local boat haulers to see what their rates would be to move it and block it up. If you only had to move it twice each season (spring/fall) it might be cheaper and more convenient than having to buy, maintain, and store a trailer that you otherwise wouldn't be using 99% of the time.

Not only would you need a trailer, but a pretty hefty vehicle to tow with as that is a lot of boat for a trailer. Haul and block…you will need to have the bottom painted in the spring anyway and way easier to do that on the hard than sitting on a trailer.
