AC System HFP Code on One AC Unit

Postby Lou Skyking » July 19th, 2017, 6:11 pm

I have a 396MY with three AC Units. Yesterday when i turned on my units I received HFP on all units after they ran for an hour or so. So I cleaned the sea strainer ( just cleaned it a week ago). The strainer was clean...so i thought I had buildup in the ac discharge lines. Flushed with fresh water with pressure from water hose. Now the forward and rear unit are working fine and the one in the Salon will work for a few mins and then get the HFP code again....getting good stream of water from discharge...any and all help appreciated

Is the evaporator filter and evaporator itself (fins) clean?

HPF is high pressure fault. In the cooling mode it means you are not moving enough water. Try isolating and flushing the water side of the problem unit. That should fix you up.

U said all 3 units went to HPF, thus all three units have one thing in common the lake water pumping thru them to cool the condensers. IMO I think u r on the right track, u need to flush the system. Look up the Utube video by Sea Flush on cleaning the AC cooling system. Simple use of white vinegar or CLR may solve your issue or u may have to go with a DeScaler.
