View the latest post Intro Danielle

Good afternoon. My name is Danie and I’m
A lady boat captain located in Hendersonville, TN. I do a little of my own maintenance and I’m here to be a part of the community, hunt parts, and participate in helpinh amd being helped on this journey. I’ve worked on damn near everything with an engine and I hope to get good at working my own stuff more then less.

I bought a 1985 3607 September 2020. And named it Casa Pura Vida

Stopping by to say hello and thank you for the opportunity to join.

Looking forward to researching various topics about Carvers; specifically the 07 36SS and the 8.1 L engines.

Took ownership of a 2007 Carver 36SS (270 hours) last week after an extensive survey and motored up from Chickamauga Dam to Tellico Lake this past weekend (~152 NM). Had a great trip with no issues.

Safe boating!

View the latest post Attachment(s) PCM 351W Casting (frost) Plug(s)

Has anyone attempted and been successful replacing the casting plug behind the engine mount on a Starboard PCM 351W in a Mariner without entirely removing the engine?
Got her in the water over the weekend and when I got her running I noticed it was weeping out pretty good, I got one of the rubber temporary plugs just to get her off the wall and into our slip. When I went to give it a tap to get it out the drift went through like it was tin foil. The mount is so close I could only fit the rubber plug itself without any of the plate/hardware with it. That being said it makes a pretty little stream when running. No water in the oil :worthy: . Thinking if I remove that headbanger cockpit floor I might be able to gently support the engine from above just enough to move it above the mount or pull the mount from under it to access the plug. If anyone has had any luck with this contortionists act please let me know.
Yes I ordered a complete set of brass to replace it and any other even remotely showing signs of distress.

View the latest post Informations about my Boat

Hey everyone,
i`m from Germany and interested by a Carver 540 Voyager built in 2001.
I heard from the excellent support of Carver to get Informations, Drawings and a owner Handbook (Ownerbook), electric Plans and so on of "my" boat.
Now I read that Carver doesn`t exist any more.
Is there any adress who has the Information saved, is there an after support ? Or are all the Information deleted ?

thanks !

Alexander ( Alec )

We are rehabbing a 1998 Carver 355. Does anyone have used (take off) full canvas enclosure that I could buy? I'm looking for used vs. new. Thanks.

View the latest post New 27 Foot Santiago Owner - Project

Hello everyone, my name is Trent and I am soon coming into possession of a 1987 Carver Santiago 27 foot. This is my first boat in nearly 40 years and I am looking forward to restoring her. Lots of work to be sure but so much has happened in the 35 years since she was launched that I can't help but believe she will end up being a beauty. Love the lines of this boat and hope to update the interior based on newer electronics, layouts, and materials.

Hi. New to forum and hadn’t been able to find answer here or on you tube. How do I change out the seals and duckbill valves on the electric push button toilets for this model. Thanks in advance as I’m having problems holding water in toilet and some smells after returning over several days.

View the latest post Attachment(s) 1988, 3807 propeller issues

I have a 88’ 3807. Rebuilt quadrajet carbs, electronic ignition, new plugs and timing verified last fall. 3 year old bottom job run only in North Alabama on the TN River. Runs extremely well. I can only get 3500 rpms out of her. She’s a chunky gal at 26000 lbs per last haul out. Bottom job 3 years old. All that to say, leaning towards being over propped. Trying to go through all my paperwork, hoping to find out what sizes I have. Any idea of what should be on there to get up to the 4200’ish rpms the book said I should get?

View the latest post Carver C37 odor??

Hi,

We recently purchased a 2018 c37 and within the first few weeks have had an intermittent odor that we can’t figure out?? The boat will have no odor then if we empty the waste tank or after being out on the water all day, a sewer type smell will fill the inside of the boat?

We have tried flushing a lot of water down the head, using odor control liquid and tabs, and airing the cabin out with all windows open. It will go away eventually but then come back?

Any tips would be greatly appreciated!
