View the latest post Re: 1986 +/- 28' Voyager Electrical System

I have a 1986 28' Voyager with what I believe to be an OEM charger/inverter system as follows:
West Marine/Xantek Charger Inverter with a Heart Interface Link 2000 moniter adn inverter/charger
controller.
Would like to communicate with a Carver owner with the same installation. Have some questions.
I'm in Bethel Island, CA. Email Norm: nessasiv@aol.com

Hi everyone,
I'm the new owner of a 1993 Carver 390 and I'm trying to find documents and informations about it, It's been scarse since Carver went out of business but luckily i found this website. I'd like to know if any of you actually have the drawings of this boat? I found a scanned version of the original manual but otherwise I came up empty ended. Looking forward

View the latest post Norcold replacement?

My refrigerator has bit the dust, a Norcold DE 561 on my 1997 32' Voyager. The easy replacement a Norcold DE 0061 has less than stellular reviews, anyone have experience with this model in the last 2-3 years? Others like Nova Kool, Isotherm are not readily available in mid-atlantic area and the Vitrifrigo is a slightly different size which never seams to go as planned when I DIY. thoughts?

View the latest post Attachment(s) Carver Helm Seat

Missing the Carver desk.

Does anyone know who manufactured the high back helm seats typically found on the fry bridge of the Carver 466.

Similar to the one in the picture. Or where I can purchase a similar one.

Thanks

Greg

View the latest post De-Scaling Heat Exchangers

Hello All;

Has anyone used a circulating pump system to run de-scaling solution through their heat exchangers to improve efficiency?

I have a persistent overheat at high throttle on starboard that corrects after reducing throttle a bit. I have been suspecting the heat exchangers as being kinda gunked up.

Initially I was looking at this as a kit:
https://www.rydlymemarine.com/product/portable-flushing-kit/

But then they're out of stock and it doesn't look to terribly difficult or costly equipment to source myself. They're also available as 'tankless water heater de-scalers' on amazon for much much less.

Thinking this might be an easier solution than the whole dissassemble/boil with acid/reassemble bit.

Thoughts encouraged. :)
