View the latest post Attachment(s) Shakedown Cruise

Finally we got out after all the speed bumps we overcame. SMOOTH calm day, only causality was the VHF antenna bolt backed off and fell down. A quick turn of the wrench took care of that. New props sized at 21 x 21 down from 22 x 22. HUGE difference! No lugging, we hit 4200 easily, and also at cruise now at 3200 I am at 32 GPH (both engines) compared to 44 with old props. GREAT day! Oh yes, a happy Admiral too

View the latest post 356 autopilot

Ok guys, on my 356, I have a Simrad AP22 autopilot. Tried to use it yesterday and got an error message, not connected to a compass. Is it connected to my Garmin chart plotter or do I have a fluxgate compass buried in my bilge?
I went into my Garmin settings and did not see anything about connecting it to an auto pilot, so I’m guessing another compass. Any thoughts will be appreciated.

View the latest post Attachment(s) Riviera bilge question

Riviera 2807: I can't seem to drain the water from the fwd bilge (under the dining table in the fwd cabin). Is it supposed to flow into the bilge btn the engines - where there is a pump? There are only 2 pump switches at the helm.

View the latest post New to boating, new member, and Carver Closed!

Hi to all. Just recently purchased my first boat (ok, second, if you count a little fishing boat 30 years ago), a 1990 Carver 4207 with CAT 3208s for use on Old Hickory Lake near Nashville. Found out today while trying to track down owner manuals and such that Carver has officially closed it's doors. The contact number on their website is disconnected. Spoke with a Carver dealer in Florida who gave me a contact - Brian - a now previous employee of 24 yrs with Carver. He said that I should download all I can from the website, because it will be taken down soon. Timing is everything, right? Mine, maybe not so good. So, going to rely on this forum to teach me the ins and outs. Looking forward to it.

View the latest post Prop shaft zincs

Hello,

I have a 1991 Carver 33 aft cabin with twin 454’s. My diver can not find the correct shaft zinc diameter to replace them. He is starting to wonder if it is metric. Does nobody have an idea? He said it lies somewhere between the normal sizes of 1 1/8-1 1/2.

Any help would be appreciated.

Ray…

I need the door micro switch for my MALBER TD700 dryer. MALBER USA is out of business. Does anyone know of a parts source. I have tried all the on-line parts suppliers with no luck. My unit is on a 2004 Carver 560 Voyager.

View the latest post 97' 355 Courtesy Light

Hi all,

I'm looking to replace a hooded courtesy light which is mounted on the side of the stairs going to the bridge. The housing is cracked and I'm just looking to replace it, and I'm struggling mightily. Does anyone have a reference of part number or link to help me chase one down?

Thanks in advance!!

John

My forward shower sump has failed on my 2000 356 Aft Cabin. What are recommendations on replacement? I see an Atwood sump box on Amazon that may work. Thanks
