View the latest post New Member with 15 years of Carver 36 experience

Good morning everyone. We have just sold our '07 Carver 36M. We had downsized from a 48 pilot house - and the 36M was perfect for the two of us. We are glad a nice Navarre Fl couple are purchasing it. Have a new (to us) 36 Command bridge that we keep on the same lift behind our home. We have 4 miles of fetch for waves to build so lifts are a must. Great keeping it out of the water (only 1 bottom job & changed zincs once in 14 years. But there are some challenges and want to chat with others who are lift users.

View the latest post 2000 350 Mariner questions

Hi. I am new to carver and the Mariner. I have a contract on a 2000 350. The boat seems to be in decent condition for its age. It has the 5.7 Crusader engine option. Are the 300hp crusaders enough on this boat? Any idea of what my cruise speed and fuel burn should be? How do these boats handle rough water? I am not taking it off shore but will use it on the Chesapeake bay and Potomac river. Anything specific to look for when doing my sea trial or during the survey? Thanks for any advice.

View the latest post Attachment(s) PVC Vinyl flooring on decks CPMY 390

Hi Guys,

This was a project that I did 2 years ago and was actually a trial, I bought 2 mm thick PVC Vinyl flooring and glued this on my decks with carpet water proof glue.
Now 2 winters later the vinyl is still intact and doesn't come loose at all. It gives a real authentic look and is easy to clean.
I'm glad I took the chance and enjoy it every day I'm on the ship.

View the latest post My Project Boat

Hello Everyone!

First I need to start by saying what a resource this forum has already been for me. My wife and I purchased a 1980 Carver 2687 Monterey this spring. To say the boat is a project may be an understatement. We got the boat at a great deal because the engine would not turn over when we went to inspect it. We are now about $5k in and the boat (and trailer) are about 95% complete.

We have had the boat out several times after my engine overhaul and it runs like a dream. The wife is NOW okay with the purchase.

Completed Projects:
Rebuild/Unseize Motor
New Waterpump
4 New Batteries
Battery Charger/Maintainer
New Trim Limit & Trim Sender Units - This was done without removing the stern-drive, incredibly difficult on a Gen I I learned.
Motor Oil Change
Lower Unit Oil Change
Clean/Oil All Wood
Replaced Navigation Lights
New Trailer Lights
Grease, so much grease, so many fittings

My outstanding list of projects:
Diag Fuel Sending Unit
New Canopy
Mount Aft Bilge Pump and Float switch
Install new thru-hull fitting & Fore Bilge Pump (This was an option on this model, but was not installed on ours)
New Chartplotter

View the latest post New member with 2000 Carver 530 Sliding salon door

I am looking for information on how to adjust the Salon rear sliding glass door. The door is rolling freely, but strikes the center post between the two doors ver hard and loud. Is there a way to adjust this clearance? I did see on a Carver site that there are adjusters , A and B for the top and C and D for the bottom. There is no diagram showing adjuster location? Does anyone have any experience with this?

View the latest post Breaker panel lights

Hello all, On my 89 3807 aft cabin, I am looking to replace the green amber breaker lights on the breaker panel. Interesting only the main one works. I opened up the panel and noticed the lights are burnt off the bulbs anyone experienced a similar situation and what would cause it. The bulbs are Silico 14v made in Mexico any sourcing info would be greatly appreciated. Stay safe, enjoy. Thanks Dave
