View the latest post Bass Pro Power series agm

Anyone have experience with the BPS Pro Series Agm? BPS had a hella sale a few days ago and after their 30% sale price plus an additional 10% off and an extra $20 for re opening my credit card with them, I picked up 3 of their grp 31’s at $160 ea. And no core charge! They’re 110ah and made by UPG and will only be used for house loads of two fridges, all led lights, and some water/vacuflush use on the hook…I’m guessing 5ah or less. I have 60 days to return if I hear solid evidence not to use them. Otherwise, they’re essentially $200 cheaper than the Sam’s Duracell's. Thoughts? Experience?

View the latest post Blower Motor Venting

Good Morning

On my '77 Carver 2276 Camper, I have the engine venting at the stern of the boat. The hose is still intact on the port side for make up air but missing on the starboard side for the blower. Is there any particular place this should run or length? It is about 3' from the vent to the bottom of the hull with the manifolds close to the transom

View the latest post Attachment(s) 1986 Carver 3207 Aft Cabin flying bridge switch plates

Good afternoon. I recently purchased a 1986 3207 Aft Cabin.

I am looking to replace the switch covers plates as they are oxidized and unreadable. Is there any after market plates or suggestions on improving what I have? All panel are hard to read the switch labels.

Thank you

I have circled the switch plates I am referring to.

View the latest post 1997 325 Fuel delivery issue

Hiya, friends! Problem with my TB350 5.7

I’m getting a crank no start issues. The fuel pump has no power to it. The reset button on does have 12v to both terminals when the key is on. My assumption is a bad relay, at least that’s what I’m hoping for, however, I can’t find any relays to save my life!

I really wish I could find a full set of schematics too.

I’ve been googling all day to no avail.

Does anyone know if I am on the right track, and if so, can tell me where this bloody relay may be!

Thanks in advance for any assistance!

Scott

View the latest post 1999 Carver 356 Aft Cabin Steering System

I am trying to determine which type of steering system the boat has. Does anyone have the specs for the 1999 356 Aft Cabin for Steering? Is it hydraulic or mechanical? Thanks.

My name is Frank I joined this group because i want to learn all I can about Carver yachts...the good and not so good if there is any. My wife and I are set on the Carver 466 in about two years when we become empty nesters. We have traveled about Florida and looked at a 466 which she fell in love with, I'm just glad she is on board to move aboard. This dream has been in the works for about four years now which is why I became a yacht insurance agent to learn all there is about the insurance aspect and I will be able to do that job as we live aboard. I'm a retired deputy sheriff and needed a part time job in retirement which being an insurance agent fit the bill I can do that from anywhere. I have learned a lot and willing to share all there is to know about yacht insurance to whomever has questions. Being a cop for 25 years helping people being an agent fills that void of still being able to help where/when I can. I also have my Masters Captain's license and work part time as an airboat charter captain at a local airboat ride location 1-2 times per week to get me out of the house/office. Overall life is great and cant wait till our next chapter to sell everything and move aboard. Cheers!!

View the latest post Attachment(s) 1997 310 Santego Owner Looking For Parts

attachments (1).zip
Hi All,

I've owned by 310 Santego in Chicago for 10 years. I was down doing some prep for the season and noticed the straps from the lift from storage had broken the fittings on the bilge drain on the hull of the boat. Both sides. I've attached pics of both as well as some other parts I'm trying to source. From my research here, it appears part numbers are not really helpful with Carver closing operations. Does anyone have any suggestions on where to source these types of parts? Bilge drain covers, window vents, battery door latches, etc?

Thanks for any help!
Jon

View the latest post Where to Draw Fuel for New Diesel Heater

Hello Everyone,

I'm beginning my diesel heater installation. I'm installing the heater in the hatch under the salon table. First step was removing the Red Dot which went relatively well. After some leakage, I managed to trim back the coolant hoses and get the space ready for install. I decided not to interrupt the coolant flow circuit for now. It remains a loop.

One of my concerns is where I'm going to draw fuel from. I'm leaning toward installing a bronze "T" in the fuel line after the primary Racor Filters. This may be more of a simple installation rather than tapping into one of the fuel tanks. (If they even have a spare access cap)

Invictus has Cummins 6BT5.9-M's. I won't be running the heater while under way. Is it possible this new "T" might foul up my fuel situation to the engines while running?

Please let me know what you think! I'm anxious to get underway this coming weekend.

Many Thanks, Greg

View the latest post Props

Hi - I'm new to the Carver Forum.
I have a 2002 410 Sport Sedan. The props were changed out at some point by the original owner. It has twin Cummins diesels (370 hp). It struggles to get on plane unless I turn the steering wheel and then it seems break free and come onto plane. Current props are 24x29. I am trying to find out what the original props were on this boat. I think the replacement prop pitch may be too much.

View the latest post 350 Aft Cabin Hydraulic Steering Pressure

During survey the surveyor found that the steering pressure was at 10 lbs. I understand that it's supposed to be 20-25 lbs. I didn't get to see what he was looking at, but pretty sure he saw a gauge. Question is how do you increase the pressure in the system?
