View the latest post Airline captian to boat captain

Hello all, My name is Terry I own a 2006 Carver 33ss I bout it about two years ago with intentions to move it from Boston where I bought it to fort peirce Florida. But sadly life got in the way and the boat has been stored on long Island since sept 2019 and next week I will get to see my boat for the first time in almost 2 years and pick my journey back up . I'm wanting to install an autopilot and I'm thinking about a raymarine ev-150 but I don't know what size hydraulic pump I need and the fittings required any help would be appreciated.

View the latest post 220 crusader engine dies and won’t restart

I’ve got a 1984 Carver Mariner twin crusader engines 220’s
Last year my starboard engine would cut out every now and then but it would restart this year when I went to start it I had no power to the ignition. I diagnosed it and thought that the solenoid was gone so I replaced it and the problem was fixed. But when I put it in the water the engine ran fine for about five minutes and then died and would not restart. When I turn the key the red light for my V Dr. does not light up on that side where is the port side does… So that’s telling me I have no power to the ignition… Anybody have any suggestions… Please I’m stumped

View the latest post Vibration between 1800-2100 rpm

My boat was recently surveyed 3 weeks ago when outside the water and shafts and props were found to be fine. However, when in the water, there is a wicked vibration/shimmy at 1800-2100 RPM that goes away at lower RPM's and when higher than that.... checked the engines by keeping the floor panels open when running and they run perfectly. Interestingly, cannot feel that vibration much when sitting down below near the engines... so its definitely not in the boat. Is that just normal as a "bad rpm spot" for this type of boat? Similar to my motorcycle that vibrates violently at low RPM but everything seems to "tighten up" once the throttle is open (Harley Davidson of course)

Thanks in advance for any insight

View the latest post Attachment(s) Hot water issue

Hello !
1992 Carver 28 Raw water cooling. bought boat last fall. I noticed while under way that I had no hot water from faucet, I got hot water while hooked up to 110 v. Verified the STBD engine plumbing, everything looks good. Disconnected the engine hot water return hose out of the hot water tank and started the engine, good water flow, reconnected the hose and started the engine and let run until gauge indicated 150 F. Touched the water hose out of engine going to hot tank but hose is cold..... help :)

View the latest post Attachment(s) 450 Voyager- anybody upgrade the flybridge stereo?

Looking for ideas on placement. I have a fairly new Fusion ud650 and Im yanking the jbl 6.5's and adding 2 pairs of infinity 6.5's and 1 infinity 10" sub. All will be powered with a new amp. I enjoy fairly decent sound. Not over the top sanbar type sound but quality non the less. Has anybody upgraded the flybridge sound? Id like to get ideas of what you have done and where you put your speakers.
Thanks

View the latest post Carver 356 Generator Issue

I'm a new owner of a Carver 356. Just had the impeller on the generator replaced. Took the boat out. While under way the generator impeller malfunctioned. Mechanic said that the generator should not be used while on plane. Is that correct?
