View the latest post cushion pattern for pop up table in dinette?

Hello, we just bought our 1984 32 Carver convertible and its great! We were folding down the dinette table in to a bed and the cushions did not seem to make sense, possibly somebody did a custom DIY. Does any body have the original dimensions for the Dinette cushions? They could use an upgrade anyways!

thanks,

View the latest post Attachment(s) New Carver owner

I’m buying a 1988 Carver 3607. It’s almost a local boat as it’s in Stockton and I am in Sacramento. Stockton is only about an hours drive down I-5 but it’ll be the entire day coming back on the Carver. Actually I’m planning on taking a few days at it and spending some quality time down in the Delta. I grew up water skiing and still have the 61 Chris-Craft Cavalier my parents bought new but this is my first big boat. My dad had a 1955 30 foot Owens with twin Grey Marine sixes many years ago. Hopefully I can take what I learned from driving that not wreck Heaven Scent. That’s the name of the 3607 I am buying and since I haven’t come up with a better name I guess I’m keeping it. I think she spent her entire life in freshwater undercover. At least that’s how she looks. I haven’t been this excited in a long time.

View the latest post Carver 33 SS windshield

As some of you might remember, I sold my 2006 Carver 33 SS this fall. The gentleman who bought the boat had it trucked to an inland lake off of the Tennessee River. Unfortunately, during the move, the windshield was broken during the move. The new owner (a really nice guy new to Carver and big boating in general) is looking for a new one and was able to source a new one for around $10k. However, he wants to continue looking to see if he could source one at a lower price.

He has spoken with Carver and they helped him some. I was wondering if any of you guys had any thoughts or previous experience in sourcing a windshield for a Carver.

I will pass along any comments from you guys and also encourage him to join this site when I meet him after de-winterizing the boat in March. Thanks for any help you can give.

View the latest post TAMD74EDC start up issue

Help!!! The gremlins are attacking my boat...
I’m jumping on this site because I’m sure one of the Carver owners on here may have had this issue come up. I have the TAMD74EDC set up w/ ZF transmission. About 600 hours.
I just Had my boat pulled to have a bottom job, shaft log seals replaced, all rubber below the water line, Props refurbish. Oil change, Trans serviced.. And now my Starboard engine isn’t cooperating..Very frustrating...
..
Port engine everything works perfect. Everything worked perfect with both motors/trans before pulling the boat out for the services.

Problem…
Starboard engine — When doing the sequence to start the boat it will not turn over. First, push the active station button and Neutral light comes on. Turn ignition and nothing but A Relay behind the dash starts clicking and it’s never done that before (Switched relay with another one, still did the same thing). And NO error/diagnostic blinking light While all of this is going on. I can then Manipulate starting the engine by pushing diagnostic button. After It turns over and starts, but not normal. It runs almost 200 rpm higher than normal. ( Normal is about 700 it running 900.) It will not shift into gear. It seems like it’s in a fail safe mode. I’ve read through all the trouble shooting booklets on the boat there’s not a scenario for this problem.

I’ve swapped all relays from other motor to eliminate that. Nothing changed..

Any help is appreciated. I’ve tried to think outside the box on this. It does have ZF transmissions. Is it possible when they pulled the shafts and did the oil service could something got out of sink where its not reading neutral or it out of gear?

Thanks,
Jon

View the latest post Attachment(s) Removal of multi-CD changer

I have a CD changer which is installed in a cabinet above the electrical panels. I would like to remove the changer (we use Bluetooth now) but there are no visible connections, screws, etc.

Has anyone removed such a device and, if so, how is it done? This cabinet is in a 2000 396 aft cabin.

View the latest post temperture control

I have a 1999 356 aft cabin and would like any suggestions on how to reduce the heat build up in the cabin during the week when not at the boat. My AC control does not allow a dehumidifying setting. I'm thinking of installing insulating/blackout curtains. Has anyone had success on this topic and if so what is the solution?

View the latest post Attachment(s) Charger Qs on my Riviera 28

I am winter-exploring my so-far-not-used-by-me Riv and I am a little mystified:
Back in the aft cabin, beside the battery box, is a NOCO Genius Gen2 Mini 2 bank charger that I plug in for an overnight every once in a while as the boat sits wrapped in my yard awaiting spring. So far so good.
Now I dig around under the forward lounge where I find a Guest 2610 10 amp 2-output charger, no idea what it is charging and how it is doing it from so far away from the batteries.
Any ideas or clarifications welcome. :beergood:

And while I have your attention, and maybe off-topic but maybe on topic, depending on the answer:
I also found the very odd little metal push-button alongside the very odd input/output thingy located at the stbd passenger seat, pictures below.
I need to know what these are for!! The manual as usual is not helpful. Ideas?

And Happy New Year Carverites!
