You have to see this. Amazing layout, conveniences and I have never seen such attention to detail. OMG I want one, just need to win something like the lottery. :-D Actually I am surprised at the price because a decked out 50' Carver is around the same if not more. You really want to do this full screen!

View the latest post Winter Is Coming

My Carver is finally wrapped up for the winter nap. Hopefully in about 4 months the wrap will come off and a new season will begin. Such is life in the Great White North.

Looking forward to some warmer weather when I arrive in Florida on December 26th for a weeks vacation.

This is a complete Simrad autopilot System. I purchased it in 2013 and removed it from my boat in 2015 to put on my new boat and never installed it. The system includes the following.
AP28 display
AC42 computer
RF300 rudder arm feed back
AT10 Simnet to NMEA0183 cable
RC42 compass
RPU160 pump
all the Simnet cables that I used to install it on a 42' aft cabin
The system worked great but health problems changed our plans. I paid $4000 for all the parts and am asking $2000 O.B.O.
I tested the pump 5/20/21 and it ran good.

View the latest post Attachment(s) Carver 506

We have been told by our fibreglass guy at our marina that we have a lot of moisture in our swim platform and it needs to be taken apart and repaired in the thousands $$. After talking to a couple of 506 owners we were told that the swim platform has pontoons down the sides for drainage. With this model between 8-10 knots the platform is totally submerged, no dinghy lift we tow. Is it normal to have major moisture with these models? Any suggestions?

View the latest post Voyager Purchase

Hello. Brand new to this site. Previous owner of Sea Ray (1994 44 Express Bridge) and Cruisers (2004 455 Aft Cabin). Dissappointing experiences with both. Have been out of boating for the last 10 years as a result. Have always loved the look of the Carver Voyager Series and would be be curious about fellow member experiences with either the 570 Voyager (2001-2006) or the 560 Voyager (2005-2009).

Those listed on Yachtworld run the gamut in price from $400K - $550K.

As I understand during the production run there were 340 units built.
Questions 1) Fair price for reasonably maintained specimen
2) Those I see have between 500 and 1200 hours on Volvo Diesel engines which seems reasonable presuming they are 4000 hour engines. Fair assumption ?
3) Owner experiences.... Would you recommend this as a solid purchase

Thank you

View the latest post 2001 404 CPMY Dinette table to bed

Just picked up a new to us 404 CPMY. Spent the first night on it with the kids this weekend and wanted to convert the dinette to the bed, and couldn't figure out how to get the pole removed so that we could drop the table to the rails.

Does anyone know how to do this? I've searched the manuals and internet with no luck - please help!

1998 carver 500 CMY with hard top aft deck with MarQuipt crane mounted.

Question: Does anyone have an idea of the weight restriction of the hard top for storing an inflatable boat with motor?
