View the latest post Fuel Tank Level Switch

Have a 1987 3207 aft cabin. On the salon panel there is the left/right momentary paddle switch. One of the prongs on the back has broken. Anyone know how to find this replacement switch? I would like to get 2 new as they have been acting up as when you’d hold the switch over to either position the needle would come in view then go away and be intermittent. I was attempting to spray contact cleaner in the switches as I’m pretty sure it’s just contacts with corrosion, when the darn terminal snapped off. Thx for any guidance. Greg.

View the latest post 1985 2650 Montego grey water

Hey guys,

So My wife and I purchased a obviously used 1985 Montego. We ran it on a mooring all summer and noticed the grey water from the shower was always full. We thought that there was a pump out on the side so when we went to the marina we could empty it. Unfortunately that doesnt seem to be the case. For the life of me I am unable to find any info on how to drian it or where the tank is located. I am preparing to winterize the boat and dont want the tank full of water obviously. I had contacted the previous owner and he is zero help. If anyone has any diagrams they could share or are able to enlighten me as to how to empty/ access the tank it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

View the latest post Gen water leak maybe?

1987 3607. we took the boat out for an overnight stay. Cruised about 2 hours , dropped anchor and then ran the gen for an hour. Next morning we started the gen again for about an hour to charge back up the house batteries . Cruised around and back to the dock. Looked in the hatch and noticed some water in the gen oil catch pan and in the haul underneath it.
So I fired the gen up and couldn't see a leak. could it be condensation or a small leak I just can't see. Viper what are your thoughts sir? Thank you everyone for ideas.

View the latest post Attachment(s) Fuse reset

I have a 1989 Carver aft 38 with a mid bilge pump problem. The pump was not working according to the survey. I bought new with a float because the old one quite old. I am getting no power to the location. switches are on,however in the aft stateroom the center switch which says mid bilge is not a switch but appears to be a pop out fuse. How do I reset it. I have cut the old pump so nothing should be tripping it. As a side note being new to this the electrical layout is maddening to say the least. Any suggestion would be appreciated
Mitch

View the latest post Attachment(s) Hi from Wisconsin! Shopping for a Carver

Hi folks,

I've been in the hunt for our next boat for a year now and have come across a few that could have worked, but with the market being busy these days, we've missed out on a couple of them already. I currently own a 2002 Regal 2665 Commodore that we've had for 3 seasons now, and this is our 7th boat in the last 20 years. The next boat will be a motor yacht and we've looked at Mainship 34 MY's, a couple of Silverton's, a Bayliner 3888, and a handful of Carvers (3, 3607's, and a 355).

We've pretty much nailed down the fact that we do want a Carver...and it's down to the 325, 33, 355, or 356 at this point. The 3607 would still be a contender if the right one came along. My biggest blocker for one's with 38-39' LOA's is I am in a 35' slip, and marina "rules" say no overhang...although almost every boat in my marina overhangs the slip. I may be able to get away with it, but that is why the 325 is in the mix. 40' slips are hard to come by right now.

Anyway, just wanted to say hi, get my first post out here, and start to look around.

View the latest post 2004 Carver 360 SS Sanitation Hose

Has anyone attempted replacing the sanitation hose on a 360 Sport Sedan? Looks like the most difficult part is the hose from the head to the pump that goes behind the fuel tank. Also assume there is a duck bill valve(s) I should look at during this repair too. Thanks for the help.
