View the latest post Anyone have any info on adjusting carburetor (fuel air mixture) and idle. 1993 Crusader 350XL

Greetings all,

I have been enjoying the forum this past year. It has answered a lot of questions for me regarding my 1993 Carver Mariner with twin Crusader's 350XL's (small block)

I am in search of a site, youtube video etc. or if anyone here can provide information on adjusting the carbs on my Crusader's to make sure I have the proper fuel/air mix and idle.

Thank you, Michael S
Tierra Verde, FL.

View the latest post What vaculush Vcuum oump do I have?

I have a 2004 Mariner 360. My Vacuflush vacuum pump needs a rebuild. The toilet is a 706 with a separate vacuum pump. It has a white cover guard held on by two screws. I can't find an exact image or a part number on the pump. Anybody have any ideas?

View the latest post Replacement Matresses

We recently purchased a 444 Cockpit MY and need to replace the mattresses.
Our previous MY had amazing memory foam mattresses, that had been purchased by the previous owners and I have not been able to find out who made them.
Since a (typically custom) mattress for your boat, is both a large and important expenditure, I would very much like to get it right the first try, so would be greatly appreciative of any recommendations and/or advice.

Thanks, in advance!
Chrissie

View the latest post Replace original bow thruster on 2004 Carver 36SS

Hi everyone, has anyone replaced their bow thruster on a 36SS? Having gear issues and trying to decide to rework them or instal new bow thruster. I have the QL BP 800 12 volt. No replacements.
Problem is the BP800 is more horizontal and I don’t have the room for a nice Sidepower as example. There is Easy access to the tunnel to open it up and place a new one in. Are their replacements out there? Has anyone managed to do this?
Thank you

I want to fly my American Flag on my yacht. It is a quality flag, nylon fabric, 3'x5' and in was flown over a US Army in Northern Iraq.

Does anyone have an idea for a good flag pole to use on my boat? Can I make one?
How to mount it? I saw a center console last year with TWO large flags flying over its T-Top in St. Helena Sound, it was BEAUTIFUL!!! I choose material a read this article https://greatyardmaster.com/best-materi ... oor-flags/ and think to do my flag from nylon I think it will be good.
So what do you think about picture?
Thanks wor advice.

View the latest post Carver yacht quality?

Hi all, new here. Probably a bit late to be asking, but how do the older Carvers rate in quality? Purchased one last fall and am in the final stages of a complete refurb. Boat was in excellent shape, just needed the usual cosmetics, engine and drive work, etc. The reason I'm quizzing folks is some comments by my insurance man. He balked at the estimated value, and made a couple of vague statements like "well, its not a Chris Craft ". Anything I should be watching out for? All comments greatly appreciated.
And one more question. My fridge crapped out last year and only two models that I know of fit my boat.
Isotherm Cruise 130 $1352.00 + shipping
Same model in SS $1575.00 + shipping
Dometic CR 1110 $1100.00 + shipping
Crap! That's a lot of money for a refrigerator isn't it??
I tried the home depot/lowes/cheapo store route. I only need A/C but none of the above fit the boat. I have glass on the boat and read useful article on the https://storageboxreviews.com/ about freezing them.
I also tried a cooler, that's never going to happen again.

Just purchased a '98 Carver 500. Boat comes with a davit mounted on the aft deck hard top. Anyone know what the weight restrictions are for the davit and the hard top (for dinghy stowage)? Thanks

View the latest post Attachment(s) 3607 waste tanks replacement

Just finished replacing my fwd waste tank. The rear one sprung a small leak several years ago and I did a temp repair to it but haven't replaced it yet. We stopped using it a couple years ago knowing it had to be replaced and we were still able to use the forward tank. I had been plotting to replace both tanks at some point but was discouraged at the pricing (including shipping, which was an additional 50% of the tank price!!!). Well, the fwd tank sprung a leak this year, so I was forced to address the issue.

The tanks are each 40 gallons, which seems huge to have 80 gallons of waste on board, especially considering how we use the boat and compared to what's available on any of the newer boats. I contemplated several options and checked out pricing of either going to a single tank (40 gal or larger) or going with two smaller tanks. Using a smaller tank - especially in the fwd compartment - would also allow for some additional space for something like an inverter.

I ended up getting tanks from greatlakesskipper. These are tanks originally spec'd for a Larson boat but fit the dimensions I needed. They are rated at 29 gallons each but when you actually measure them and do the calcs they come out to about 34 gallons. I also remounted the fwd tank a bit more aft and to the port side so there's a lot of extra room in the compartment (it sits under the dinette seating). I'm also adding the iSeries tank monitor system, as I never had a monitor for the waste or potable tanks and always had to open a compartment to visually check the levels.

I have lots of pics but have to upload them and edit a bit but will post. I got the front tank done but the monitor system had a problem so a new one is on the way.
