View the latest post 2003 Carver Sport Sedan 360

Hello to all,

I am French and live in France (Europe).
My English is not so good; so please excuse my faults.

I just have purchased a 2003 Caver Sport Sedan 360 and I am very happy.
Before I owned a Searay 390.

I am very happy to be accepted in your forum.

I have a problem with the downlights.
I think they have been changed because there are leds.
But many chrome covers are missing and I need to buy the good ones.
Do you know who was the manufacturer's name and the part number of this manufacturer? Perko? Imtra?
I think the overall diameter was 2 1/2'' but I am not sure.

Thank you for your great help.
Corine

View the latest post 1996 Carver Mid cabin express

First off it`s great to be here with all you proud Carver yacht owners. My wife and I have had our boat for 14 years and love our Carver. I have an ignition problem on my starboard engine. I have no power at the ignition switch. My port ignition works fine. I was told there was a 20amp fuse for the ignition switch and that is the issue with no power to it.I have pushed the engine circuit breaker red button. Not it. I have done research and can`t find the fuse or fuse box location on the engine to change the fuse??? Volvo Penta 5.8 fsi. This is all I have found doing research.

Help please before I pull out anymore of my hair! Thanks in advance
John

View the latest post Does anyone know what this connection is?

The bottom is a capped Cable connection, but I don't know what the top one is. It has a single orange wire coming out the back?

View the latest post Garboard plug/drain

I haven't removed the plug. In one sense I'm a little hesitant - don't want to lose it or not be able to get it back in.

What area does this drain? Has anyone removed it on their boat? Any issues?

View the latest post Hatch sliding door problems

Hello, We own an 87 Montego. The hatch door is a real bear to slide. Is there a new retro kit with different slides? The rail and guide system is shot.... And how do I access the existing hatch to replace these slides? Thanks

View the latest post Attachment(s) Solar on a Riviera 28, anyone?

I installed 260W solar panel on my Albin 25 and I absolutely am committed to the concept. It runs my fridge and everything else all summer, no plug in, no charger needed. Now that I am (probably) moving to a Riviera, I want to repeat the project. I wonder if anyone has added solar to a 28, and if so, where did they locate the panel(s). No hardtop seems to leave only the front cabin top. Would love to see if anyone has done it. Next time the install will be a touch more subtle than this one! :-P

View the latest post Books and Manuals for Montego 2757

Unfortunately my 89 Carver Montego 2757 was totaled by Boat US /Geico ---almost sank. I did save all the books, manuals, blueprints of electrical and plumbing etc--these are original and hard to find. In all they weigh almost 5 lbs.

Any one interested?

Looking too sell them for 50 bucks plus shipping.

Also looking for a replacement Carver or like.

Thanks

Cayce

View the latest post Attachment(s) Seaward Microwave for sale

We just pulled out the Seward Microwave from our 1985 3607. It appears to work well. I just don't cook with a microwave and we repurposed that space with a small toaster over. Any offers??? I am in Manitoba, so shipping might be an issue.

View the latest post Props not as stated

I bought a set of props from a seller that he stated were 22 x 21 for my 390CPMY. The shafts were 1.5” so I would need the brass adapter to step down to 1 3/8” no issue here. My WOT range is 4000 to 4400. I am able to , on a GOOD day hit 4000, usually I am in the 3900 range. We run HEAVY all the time. Full fuel and water, LOTS of provisions. ANYWAY, prop shop called and said after a scan the props measure 21.2 and 20.7 and 21 pitch respectively. They originally wanted to pitch at 22 x 20 for the 4400 number, by his calculations.

I am waiting to speak to him today, as he is one of the most respected prop shops around. He is suggesting we make both 21.2 x 21 pitch. I respect his suggestion, but looking for opinions on running a 3/4” smaller prop than the 22 spec’d. I guess I should have bought new, as these were a great price at $340.00 each with shipping. However, tune is $516.00 each Nd adaptive $1.15.00. SO I am at $950.00/prop. However a new one is $1760.00 from him. What are your opinions. I am still at 1/2 price of new, so I guess I am still in good shape.
