View the latest post Carver 356 aft cabin mattress dimensions

Hello!

I have recently purchased a 2000 356 Aft Cabin and I am looking to get the main stateroom mattress replaced. Has anyone here already done the work of the mattress dimensions and can post them/send them to me to order up a new one? I'd appreciate it greatly!

If not, I will do the dimension measurements and post them here for future reference.

Thanks!

Good afternoon. Can anyone tell me what it means when the orange (mid level) light is solid and the red (full light) is flashing on a Tankwatch III waste monitor indicator? Any help is greatly appreciated.

View the latest post Attachment(s) Fly ridge cover

As the “W” word is close to (WINTER STORAGE) being a reality, I have had my boat shrink wrapped for the past 4 years. It is a costly thing at $1500.00 for 4 months. I get repulsed by that charge. We need to use the marins service on this, and they charge $30.00/ft and an additional $250.00 for the fly bridge. There are many people/companies who charge $10-$12 a foot. However, we are captive to the storage yard.

Has anyone had a bridge cover made? One that snaps to the shield where the canvas goes? How does it stand up? Does it come down to sort of protect the aft deck? I am sure I would have to remove the canvas enclosure on the aft deck also.

Feedback?

Thanks!

View the latest post waste gate lines 396 Carver MY

We have recently been told that the waste gates on our volvo tamd 6 engines are seized...The feed lines have been replaced..I have heard that they can be soaked in a solvent & this should free them up...The marina is currently soaking the waste gate valve in something? but apparently they free the valves up & then they seize up again...New ones are quite expensive..Suggestions??

View the latest post Schematics, diagrams and plans

The Carver Owner's Manual is good, but very light on schematics, diagrams and plans - although the elecrics are well documented. As a new owner, I like to get to know my toys as well as I can, and frequently find myself baffled about some of the changes that previous owners may have instituted (mostly boats, admittedly).

Here's what I'd like to know; is there a sound source for full schematic representations of all of the originally-installed machinery, equipment etc on a Carver 2827? It's all very well on a forum such as this to ask: "'ere, wot's this thing down 'ere?" for every widget you hurt your toe on, but if the information is readily available in the first place, in a format that the thickies among us can identify - a plan, or photograph - we wouldn't ask silly questions that the more experience sneer at and give condescending replies to (that hasn't happened...), and the world would think the better of us.

View the latest post 444 aft sliding door trim

On the outside of the rear sliding door on the 444, there is a rubberized "white filler molding" around the frame of the door on the aft cockpit. It has gotten sticky & has discolored. Does anyone know where to get this?
