Hello to all members.
I am working on a Santa Cruz 2566 that I've owned for 4 years now with a few upgrades.
Issue at hand is finding a window seal for the side quarter glass set in a wooden window frame.
It would seem that someone had used marine caulking to hold the glass and seal it in place at some point in its life. The wooden window frames are routered to except a rubber seal, much like the rear galley window that swings down, and out to the deck.
Does anyone know a part number? Or a company that I can source the seal from?
Cheers,

Ok so you guys are going to love this and some maybe very jealous haha... any who long story short here I was given the opportunity to own a 1987 carver santego for FREE...... yes free title was just signed over to me yesterday haha. The boat is not in the 70% 80% percent range let say its a solid 50% good to go lmfao. i need to do some engine work but nothing i feel that is going to be a problem for me to fix.
while Im cleaning the boat and trying to get the batteries figured out, how many need to be there. Is it 2, 4, or 6, battery bank? Are the house batteries 12v, or 24, volt system? and would any one know what is the base daily amp hour that is listed by factory? Im trying to design a solar power system system around the boat that will power what every i need and could have enough battery power to last over night with everything on. not that everything would be on at night, im trying to be about over kill lol. i will be doing a 6 or 8 battery bank with the solar all agm deep cycles.
any pictures would be much appreciated or electrical diagrams would be tatas too thanks boys/gals

- Forum: General Repairs & Maintenance
I plan to strip the paint this fall and paint the bottom next spring. What is the best process to prep the bottom after the blasting and what is a economical paint and base coat to use . In the past I have used West Marine CPP but I have never stripped all the paint off. And before adding a base coat what needs to be done if there are minor abrasions air bubbles after the blasting process
I’m looking for options that will not break the bank as I may sell the boat next year.

Where can I find a direct replacement for the rear hatch on my 1982 Carver 3607 Aft Cabin. The plexiglass was shattered during transport last week and I have not had much luck locating a replacement. For the moment I will cut a piece of tented plexiglass and attach it with sealant. This will suffice until I can locate a replacement is possible. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hello forum friends, I was wondering if anyone has tips on how to make sure the grey water tanks get fully pumped out and as well the fresh water gets filled up. Currently my 37 coupe is showing half full on both but I recently had the grey water pumped out and the fresh water filled. Anyone out there having a similar issue with their indicator lights?

View the latest post 3207 forward AC location
- Posted by: emunstar » August 9th, 2020, 10:08 pm
- Forum: AC/Heat, Plumbing & Sanitation
I’ve got a 1991 3207 aft cabin which I believe originally had three AC units. Forward, mid and aft as designated by the factory labels on my breaker panel.
Currently I have a 16,000 BTU unit midship beside the refrigerator and a 6,000 BTU in the aft cabin.
Does anyone know where the forward unit would be located in a factory install?
Thanks in advance!

- Forum: Electronics & Navigation
Hi all,
I hope to close on a 355 AC soon, and upon my first visit, it appears that the helm navigation instruments are archaic, likely original. I think I saw a DataMarine GPS Chartplotter and a Furuno Radar. Don’t know about the autopilot.
Given that I am a “navigations techie”, a prior sailor, but new to Carver, what do Carver owners with boats in this vintage usually replace these instruments with? I am married to my iPad for use as a Chartplotter. Given that, would do you guys recommend as helm navigation upgrades?

View the latest post 1993 Carver 300 Sedan Needs New Hot Water Heater
- Posted by: Dusty Bilges » August 8th, 2020, 1:46 pm
- Forum: AC/Heat, Plumbing & Sanitation
There's always something. Lost water pressure, and water was going into the bilge. I bypassed the hot water heater. That problem solved. Great pressure, no leak but . . . . .
Has anyone out there removed the hot water heater from a boat like mine where the hot water heater is under the galley counter??? I see a new heater is under $400 in West Marine, so I am hoping I don't have to use a Sawzall to get this done.
