Greetings!! New Member/ First Time Carver Owner 3207 1985 Aft Cabin

I have a Carver 406. Took boat out for the first time this season. After about an hour (under power at all times) I noticed the cabin lights getting dim and other DC loads like nav equipment were getting reduced DC power. I have a total of 5 batteries on the boat, one for generator, 2 starting batteries and 2 house batteries. I started the generator which in turn provided AC power to my Master Volt battery charger and the problem went away. Would condition of house batteries cause this issue or should the engine alternators maintain sufficient voltage to keep lights and other DC equipment running?

Hello. Looking to see if anyone has had any luck on purchasing aft deck carpeting for a Carver 366 motor yacht with aft cabin? My boat has the snaps and the carpet guys want a template which I don't have. Any suggestions? Thanks much.

Ok. Anyone know how to remove water spots on the windows of a boat? Don’t want to damage them but would like to get them spot free.

I have my carver in the Uk so need to convert the 230v 50nhz shore power to run 120v 60hz on my boat.

I have 2 transformers to sort the 120v part but im stuck getting an inverter or something to step up the 50hz to 60hz
I can get a huge inverter that weighs 500lb & is the size of a washing machine but that seems about it ??
Any ideas please.

Hey folks.
I did the 'shake down' cruise today and she is running great. I have my fingers crossed for the season.
However, two things did come up and for this I could use your guidance.
The most important item is the Vacuflush. It was working when we went out this morning and this afternoon when I went to use it there was no vacuum. When I step on the lever to flush the water pump activates but the vacuum motor does not. I tried switching the main and individual electric head switches on the panel a couple of times but to no avail. The motor seems to have stopped working for some reason. I have heard that these are very reliable systems so I am scratching my head. Why just stop? Mechanical or electrical?
I am thinking that perhaps there is an issue with the DC panel because the stereo decided to stop working this season.
I did notice that early on, however figured I would get around to it as this was lower on the priority list.
Do you think there may be something going on with the panel? Are these switches fuses or fused? I really don't know anything about it.
Any insights and troubleshooting guidance will be greatly appreciated.

I have a 1999 Carver 504 and want to replace the forward head hoses. Previous owner wrapped some of them in aluminum foil to cover up stench. They are visible to the left just as you enter the engine room compartment (under the stairs).
Anyone have any experience with this or know what is involved? Thanks in advance for any tips or leads.... Sam

Hi all! My wife and I are the new excited owners of a 1997 400 CMY that we will be moving this weekend from Green Turtle Bay to Paris Landing State Park Marina on Kentucky Lake. Would love to make some contacts with other Carver owners in the area. We a new to large boat owning, we'll be the ones taking our time going up river this weekend!

Has anyone ever seen a good 3D cutaway of an older Carver boat? Additionally, has anyone ever seen (or created) a photo of a boat with all (or the major) parts labeled and named? I have my original Carver operating manual (and pdf file), but I'm a visual and tactile learner - for me a picture WOULD be worth a thousand words. Thank you.
