View the latest post Inflatable boat

Hi guys, I am looking at getting a small dinghy (8-10ft) inflatable floor type. Last year on most every trip we towed our 17’ glastron which worked great but getting into different marinas is a challenge when towing it, so we are looking for something to just throw on the platform for trips and anchoring. Any suggestions? What does everyone have for a tender? My budget is around $1000 so nothing to crazy. I plan on putting a 4 hp mercury on it. Thanks!

View the latest post 2000 326 Aft Extended Swim Platform

Greetings......I am a new member and owner of a 2000 326 Aft....I was wondering if anyone has added an extended swim platform to their 326 Aft? I added one to my 245 Bayliner previously from swim platforms.com and it was an awesome change....I have reached out to them and they have not manufactured one previously for a 326 so possibly I will have to look elsewhere if anyone else has had success.

If so could you share some pics and your source?

Cheers!

View the latest post New Carver Owner

Hello Owners:
We just purchased our 1993 Voyager Sedan and are excited to begin cruising Georgian Bay in 2018 from our home base at Honey Harbour, Ontario.
Right now "Wishbone" is on the hard stand and waiting to be shrink wrapped.
Looking forward to meeting fellow owners next summer on "The Bay".

View the latest post New GPS this Spring

Hey folks,
I am planning to upgrade the GPS on my 36 this Spring and would like to get feedback on the unit's screen size most appropriate for this vessel. As you know the screen sizes range from 5" and go on up.
My thinking is leading me to a 9" display. Does it make sense to look at 10 or 12"... or smaller for that matter?
Although there is a cost differential as I move up in size, I figure that I will be upgrading just one time and want to 'get it right'.
What display size do you folks use? Which manufacturers do you like?
I know one person that has their unit mounted on an 'arm' to move around. Does anyone employ that kind of configuration?
I will be likely be looking at models with a touch screen.
All thoughts are much appreciated.

View the latest post Black tank odor problems in aft cabin.

I have a 1991 carver 33 aft cabin. I bought it last summer on LakeErie and have made my way to Fort Lauderdale Florida via the Erie Canal and the itercoastal waterway.
My problem is that when I turn onthe aft air, a sewer gas smell comes out of the vents. The smell in the bilge is not strong but there.
#1 how do I get to the black tanks on this model. The only access is below the bed and under thenight stand. I cannot see the tanks from there and I could never get my body past the obsticals to look around. Does any one know how to access them?

#2. Has anyone else had this problem and how did the repair it.

I put two hundred hours on the boat it the last two months, the only problems on the trip was the ice maker, a clogged fuel filter and the black tank problems.

Carver builds one hell of a boat.

View the latest post 3607 aft holding tank

I recently purchased a 1983 3607 that needs some TLC. One issue we discovered after crawling around in the boat was the aft holding tank was gone and the two large hoses and a smaller clear-ish hose (water line?) were capped off. So my question is this, after looking at tanks online, some tanks are just plastic boxes and some have a pump or some sort of motor on top. Does anyone know what I need or what the boat came with? or does anyone have a picture of the area under the rear bed with the water heater and holding tank in place? thanks!!
