Custom cover for 1994 Carver 390 CPMY made by Lohman Sails and Covers (boatcovers.ca). 3 piece in separate bags. Excellent condition. $1000.00.
This cover is located in Comox on Vancouver Island, BC. These came with the boat when I bought it and I don't see ever using it.

View the latest post My Season Is Over

All good things must come to an end. My season ends today as my boat will be pulled and placed on the hard for the winter.

The marina mechanic will winterize my engines and A/C. Then I will make an appointment to get her shrinkwrapped.

Now I will begin counting down the days to launch. I will launch as early in April as I can. I want to get the hull buffed and polished prior to launch if I can. Hope that the weather will be good enough in April for the job to get done then back into the water for 2018.

View the latest post Question about 290 outdrive

My 1984 Carver Monterey has what I believe to be Volvo's 290 single prop outdrive. Are the footprints the same for the single prop and duo props the same. Very soon we will be doing an engine swap and at the same time I'm planning to have my outdrive rebuilt or upgrade to the duo prop version.

View the latest post Attachment(s) 2001 350 Mariner Switches

I'm looking to replace all of the switches at the helm for things like the Nav Lights, Blowers, etc... Does anyone know where to purchase these? I now I can simply do aftermarket generic ones, but I really would like to get factory original ones. I even have the part numbers, but cannot locate them online. Anyone have a lead?

View the latest post Winterizing the cabin

My question is regarding winterization. I boat in the Northeast.
I have winterized all of the mechanical and fresh water systems on my boat. I do however have some questions regarding the cabin.
Do you folks keep the cushions (ultra leather) in place or do you take them off of sofa, etc. and place them where they can 'air out'?
I would also like to know if you keep cabinet doors in both kitchen, head and bunk opened or closed.
How about bedding? Do you leave it on the boat during the winter and then dry clean in the spring?
Since my boat will 'wrapped', is it recommended to keep the ports closed or open for ventilation?
The one thing I do know about is keep a couple of 4 pound 'Damp Rid's' in there.
Sorry for the length of this, but I would certainly appreciate your experience and thoughts.
Thanks

View the latest post Running wire in a Mariner 350

I have a 98 Mariner 350 and I need to run wire from the engine compartment to the bridge.
Has anyone with a Mariner ran wire before?
If so, how did you get the wire up to the bridge?

View the latest post Aft Deck Water Leak

I have noticed that each time I scrub the aft deck on my 346 that I have water in the aft cabin head. Nt sure how it gets there because there are no overhead signs of water coming in. Not sure if it's a loose deck drain hose or the joints need to be re-caulked around the edges of the deck. Anyone had this issue before that could help me troubleshoot?
