View the latest post Carver Mariner bridge faucet logo

Hi:

Does anyone have any leads as to where I can obtain a Carver Logo for the faucet on the bridge of a 2001 Carver Mariner 350?? It's a small round logo that goes in the center of the faucet handle. I contacted dealer and they claim it is no longer available.

Thank you and regards,

Peter

View the latest post Midnight Sun Photos Are Up

My wife and I have been rather busy the last 2 seasons making the boat our own. Quite a few modifications and upgrades all done by ourselves with exception of new canvas, new cockpit vinyl and new interior carpets which were farmed out. My wife is amazing when it comes to decoration and I am quite handy. The outcome is rather stunning IMHO. Last item to complete the boat are the 4 x 50watt LED underwater lights I will mount sometime this winter/spring obviously after haul out which is scheduled for Next Wednesday. Photos can be found in the link of my signature. Enjoy. :pirate:

View the latest post Buying 2006 Carver 44 MY

New to the forum.
Considering buying 2006 Carver 44 MY.
Its a fresh water vessel, 256 hrs. on the Volvo D6 - 370 hp Diesel engines.
Planning on moving it to the west coast, Vancouver Island.
I'm not familiar with this model so has anyone had experience with the Carver 44, good or bad, trying to find a reason not to buy it?
For a vessel that's 11 years old, not many hours on the engines, is this good?
Moving the yacht, is it a big deal, I'm told the arch has to be removed ( bridge clearance with arch = 18.0 ft.), will this cause problems later?
Is this vessel under powered with 370 hp diesel engines?
The attraction is its a fresh water boat and I can move it to the salt water for 3 or 4 years without big problems from salt, then I would sell it?

Any comments would be greatly appreciated!

Thank You,

View the latest post How to Operate my Boat

I purchased a 1988 27' Carver Montego 2757 a couple of months ago but have never owned a boat and don't even know where to start as far as how to operate it. I have an owners manual but it doesn't cover anything specific to which buttons and switches have which purpose and all the writing is too faded to read on the instrument panel itself. Any help would be appreciated.

View the latest post Attachment(s) Summer holidays, loop of Gbay

Despite a terrible summer weather wise, Foxy Joe completed almost 1000 nm cruise around all of Gbay. We started the first Saturday in August and spent 2 full weeks travelling. My wife and I had friends of ours from England and their daughter along for the entire trip. They put it best - "we are seeing things Canadians don't get to see".

We stopped at all of the really amazing places along the trip, from Mad River where you run your tender/seadoo up and down rapids (sounds crazy but is amazing) to Baie Fine, To Killarney, Tobermory, Cabot Head, etc.

Most nights we were on the hook except for a stay in Kilarney and then in Tobermory.

If anyone is thinking of doing the "mini-loop", you won't regret it.

View the latest post Intro and 1997 325 Aft Cabin Question

Hello New Carver Friends!
After 15 years as a Tiara 4000 Express Cruiser owner with twin 420 Cummins Turbo Diesel engines, I come here seeking information for a new friends, new to him, 1997 Carver 325 Aft Cabin with twin 350 Mercury EFI engines.
That being said, I have searched the forums with numerous questions in my head and found similar questions and their responses. There have been modifications to the electrical power system but with out tearing into a new friends, new boat, I was hoping to find the answer here.
The first question I have right now is what was the original battery configuration on the 1997, 325 Aft Cabin with the Pro Mariner 30 Charger set up? The current batteries, (2-old) Duracell SLI27MDC, 705 CA batteries of which neither will start either engine on 1, 2, or both) are behind the Starboard Twin headboard compartment along with the 2+Volt Amp meter and a 2/4 terminal block with the terminations from the charger and a connection to each battery. The Charger is behind the Port Double headboard compartment.
Was it originally one Starting battery for both engines on switch position 1 and one Deep Cycle Battery on switch position 2 for the house? Or what?
Thanks in advance for the answer, which will prompt question 2 in the next post…

Has anyone with a carver 506 installed led lights in the risers of the aft boarding steps. I did this in my last boat but cannot figure out how to get to back side of steps to install wiring. Any help would be appreciated.
