My 2003 Carver 564 Hot Water tank needs replacement. My unit is the Sealand Model 1900E. The tank is too large to remove between the engine and generator. Any ideas, can the floor be removed?

View the latest post Random Pics Of My Season So Far

Here are some pics from my season so far. I have not taken many but here are a few.

Image

Put in Bay, Ohio looking towards A Dock. This was taken during the 2017 I-LYA Powerboat Regatta. My boat is in there somewhere, actually in the upper left quadrant of the pic.

Moonrise over Put in Bay. That is Perry's Monument in the foreground.

Fuel, one of the costs of boating. Gotta have gasoline.

Sunset on Lake Erie.

Signpost at one of the entrances to The Boardwalk.

Heading out onto the Detroit River, Lake Erie in the distance, for a trip around Grosse Ile Michigan an island in the Detroit River.

Image

Downbound in the Trenton Channel, Detroit River between the Grosse Ile Toll Bridge and the Grosse Ile County (Free) Bridge.

It was a nice day for an afternoon cruise around the island.

View the latest post What Oil To Use in My Genny Kohler 7.3

you will find many opinions here. I personally use Mobile 1 10/40 in my genny. As long as you use a quality oil and change it regularly you shouldn't have a problem.
Best wishes.

View the latest post New from Ohio

Been out of boating for a long time but just purchased a 1985 Riviera. In good shape with rebuilt engines. Too bad the season only has about 4-6 more weeks here in Ohio.

View the latest post Transport a boat who do you recommended? Ontario

Hello All,

I may purchase a 2004 carver mariner 360 and would need it moved from Port Dover to Midland Ontario.

Does anyone have any recommendations or have used a company to move a boat like mine.

THX in advance,
Cory

View the latest post Sealant

When we took delivery of our boat it had a rather elaborate canvas set up that encompassed the cockpit. The canvas was long past its life span so we removed it. This has left us with "numerous" canvas snaps attached to the boat.

I want to go around and remove and re-install the snaps and re-seal them where ever I can. I was thinking of using 3M 4000UV. Thoughts and opinions of this would be appreciated.

We will also be undertaking a re-caulking project on this boat as the existing is getting old and dirty looking. What would be the best material for this and I would appreciate any experiences with a similar project.

Thanks
Fraser
