View the latest post Roller assembly for salon sliding doors.

Hi all,

I have a 1996 Carver 3 Mariner and I'm hoping to source a replacement roller assembly for the rear sliding doors into the salon. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

View the latest post Hail damage to Bimini

In a bit of a strong squall last summer, Bimini on our Voyager 320 sustained probably 50-75 spots on the top where a large hail impacted the top. The large hail spread out the fine threads so you can see faint light in those spots. Its not leaking yet but drops of moisture are starting to accumulate on the larger of the spots. Any thoughts outside of replacing the top?

View the latest post Power line 1 showing zero on the voltmeter

Ok. I have a carver 33 SS 2006. It has 2 30 amp service inlets for AC power. One of the inlets powers line 1 which has the battery chargers, the outlets, microwave, stove top, etc. the other (power line 2) powers the AC units.

Today, while on shore power, I heated something up in the microwave. I noticed it didn't finish and the microwave had no power. When I went to the breaker panel. I noticed the voltmeter for power line 1 registered zero. I checked the hookups. The 50 amp service on our dock is connected to a pigtail for 2 30 amp lines that service the 2 inlets. I reversed the wires at both the pigtails and the boat power service inlets in sequence, but the voltmeter never registered power for power line 1 but always did for power line 2.

When I cut the power to the shore and started the generator, the voltmeter for power line 1 and power line 2 registered 110 normally!

Any thoughts on where to look or what it may be? I looked for a fuse because the carver manual wiring diagram showed what appeared to be a 30 amp fuse though it may have just been the way they show the service inlet. Couldn't find a fuse. In fact, couldn't see where the wires for the two inlets entered the boat from the stern.

I suspect the inlet connection itself. Any other thoughts?

Thanks for any help you can give.

With out pics, hard to say.
But guessing....sounds like packing maybe leaking?
If packing, 2 to 4 drips per minute is what it should be.
As for the fins, need pics and should be fixed regardless...

View the latest post Battery Equalization

The new charger that I installed in the boat last season has a equalization feature in it for flooded batteries. I would be interested in some feedback about doing this process how often etc etc. I understand what is going on but have found limited information about it.

Thanks

View the latest post BRIDGE PANELS

I have a 1995 Santego 380. I am looking to replace the 5 plastic panels that slide in and cover the walk-thru from the bridge down to the bow. I called Carver and they said they do not make them anymore. Any ideas on where I can purchase these?

View the latest post Darken wood interior on Mariner

We are in the final steps of looking for a Mariner 1997 to 2003. We have found several candidates all over the country that we like different options and features on. My wife does not care for the bleached / pickled / light wood finish on the interior wood surfaces of the early model mariners. She likes the darker finish on later generation models.

I understand there is a lot of wood inside the cabin. What could be done to darken the wood. What are my options if we end up with a boat that has the options we like, but a light interior?

The light wood is not a deal breaker, but I if I could darken it up, it would make her happy.

View the latest post NEW charger

1994 CPMY390 Standard factory battery set up of 3 batteries. I just bought a 50 Amp Pronautic charger, as the 20amp I have is in my opinion too small. I am planning on keeping Batt Bank #1 as starting and hanging Batt Bank #2 from a 12 volt deep cycle to 2 or 4 6 volt GC batteries. Anyone in this vintage vessel do that? Where did you find the space to place those 2 or 4 GC batteries?

View the latest post Attachment(s) mercruiser mefi 3 discussion

Engines 2001 mx6.2 merc mpi......I would like to use this thread for this type of discussion for anyone.....In a short while, hopefully, I will be getting the boat ready and want to go thru each engine and check harness plugs, grounds etc because at the end of the year the port engine would try to stall the odd time when you pulled the throttle back quick..otherwise ran like a champ, great fuel mileage etc.......I will clean the plate on the Tb, lube the linkage, and check the iac filter etc....have new iac's and tps for both....there does not appear to be any codes as there is only one beep when ignition turned on. I will get tech to check for codes after all that. So I guess the question....what is in charge of controlling the fuel when you pull the throttle back to idle quickly.?????thanks guys...... :beergood:
