The Onan17kw genset in our 2003 53 voyager is producing 250 volts which is causing the inverter charger to not work (high AC Voltage fault). The lead anti tamper device on the fuel injection pump is intact. I have not checked the frequency yet. Any ideas besides RPM? Voltage regulation?

Hi there everyone! I have a 25 year old yacht management company in Vancouver Canada and have 3 Carver's to look after. I hope to use the forum to find information on various issues we encounter, and share knowledge. Admittedly, I am not terribly experienced with the brand, but hope to contribute and get some tricks to keep everything running.

We have a 53 Voyager with skylounge, a 506, and a 280 (owner just selling).

I am new to the Forum. I have a 1997 405 aft cabin. When at rest, there is water leaking into the forward bilge and after much troubleshooting, it appears to originate at the rear port exhaust. Anyone else had a similar issue and what is the repair?

Hello everyone, after years of running around in open boats with outboards, I decide to take the plunge and get something bigger, more comfy for a family of 5. I put my eyes on a well maintained Carver 280 express cruiser mid cabin year 1994 with only 400 hrs on the clock, inside its still in very good condition, powered by twin mercruisers 4.3/v6 and I would like some more info on the hull of these models, and consumption and all the other stuff I need to know, because information on the net seems to be very limited on this manufacturer, so if there is anyone out there with any info I would very much appreciate it! Thanks a lot...for now...

After an absence from boating for 20 years, yes children related, we jumped back into boat ownership this October with a 1996 Voyager320. Previous ownership included sailboats in the 22-25' range so outside of growing up with Dads power boats, this is our first big powerboat with twins of our own! So far love the layout and look of our new Carver, were very excited for springtime already!

I've seen several pictures of 450 Voyagers with hardtops. Anyone have an idea where they came from? They look professionally built.

Hello, I am a new member. I acquired a 2005 Cockpit Motor Yacht this past summer. This is the first large boat that I've owned, so I'm spending time familiarizing myself with operating and maintaining the boat. Hello. I am a new member of this forum. I used to own a 1988 Carver 28' Voyager. I sold it to go with something smaller and went too small. I now am looking at 1995 Carver mid cabin with a Volvo Penta 7.4 in it. Anyone know this boat. How well does it plane and run with this engine? Thank you.
