View the latest post New Carver Dealer Anouncement

I went to the boat show last week and wandered over to The Marquis/ Carver display , I had a very nice chat with Reg Garnett, Director of Service at Executive Yachts . I look forward to seeing the new office in Toronto and doing business with them. With respect to Crates and their decades of service to the Ontario boaters , I'm very happy that Marquis / Carver in Pulaski has made this quick announcement . I like many boaters need Dealer support for our boating needs.

Marquis & Carver Yachts Adds New Canadian Dealer – Executive Yachts
Posted on January 14, 2015

Pulaski, Wisc (January 14, 2015) – Marquis and Carver Yachts has added Executive Yachts in Mississauga, Ontario Canada to the growing Marquis and Carver Yachts’ global dealer network.

Executive Yachts is a new dealership selling, servicing and supporting the Toronto boating market. Although a new comer to owning a dealership, owner and CEO Derek Mader has 15-plus years of experience managing and operating a dealership.

“We are excited to have Derek and his team at Executive Yachts become the new Marquis and Carver dealer for the province of Ontario,” said Rob Parmentier, President and CEO Marquis Yachts, LLC. Parmentier continued, “Derek’s enthusiasm and passion for our brands, his customers he had previously sold boats to, the Ontario and Toronto area boating community is infectious. Derek Mader, President & CEO of Executive Yachts added, “We are excited to represent Marquis and Carver Yachts continuing the long standing tradition of selling and servicing one of the most livable, approachable yachts on the water.”

“With one of the newest fleets of boats on the water today, dealer partners like Executive Yachts and our current global dealer partners, we are poised to make an impact on the bridge boat market,” stated Parmentier.

View the latest post 1989 3807 Starts in gear - No neutral.

Greetings, Just purchased 1989 3807 with the 454 Mercruisers and Borg Warner drives. When I put the Transmission levers in the Neutral Position to start the engines, the Starboard engine starts in forward gear, Cant seem to find a neutral position and I cant figure out why the (Neutral) safety switch didnt prevent the motor from starting. Good thing the boat was securely tied down to a sturdy pier. Has anyone seen this problem before? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

View the latest post C43 Coupe

Apparently, Carver is unveiling a new 43 ft Coupe in Miami in February. I am glad to see them increasing the model lineup! Also, they restyled the C40 Bridge with new hull windows and an available hardtop. Both features really improve the overall look of the yacht!

Hi all. We are researching for a boat for our next adventure. This will be our journey on the Great Loop. We hope to start in September and are currently looking for a vessel to accomplish this.
Looking forward to all the wisdom we can get from the group as well as guidance from those that have "been there done that".

View the latest post Rule 3700 sump bilge air lock

Hello: I have a Carver 530 Voyager and have an issue with my sump box bilge pump. It seems to get an airlock and continuously run not sucking up any water. It works fine while at dock or at a very calm anchorage. Basically, while sitting at the dock, the water in the sump box remains low and level, switch is only on with incoming grey water. Nothing to pump unless the float is tripped from incoming grey. Head out to sea, the same amount of low water remaining sloshes indicting more water than is actually there, the float switch turns on the pump, and the pump sucks up water and air until it stops sucking up water for some reason (the air it sucks up creates and airlock possibly?) It then runs continuously without sucking up any water. When we get back to the dock we can take a shower and the sump box fills up and overflows even with the pump running (it's running but not sucking up water). I then disconnect it (cut a power wire) and then reconnect it and it works fine.
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance, Bob
