View the latest post No 110 power to aft deck outlet

Hi, I'm new to this forum. We just purchased our 355 aft cabin last August. Last year the outlet and ice maker on our aft deck worked fine. This spring we discovered that the outlets (one for the ice maker and one outlet) are not working. Have replaced the GFI outlets in the salon and forward head as well as the outlet on the aft deck hoping that was the problem. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there a switch that I have forgotten about? This is really baffling me and my more experienced dock buddies. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
I need some help or imformation for replacing the salon/cabin side window. The boat that was in the slip next to us ,decided to miss the and ended up breaking the window and the metal frame is bent and pieces of it are lost.
I would like to know where a replacement window/frame could be located.
I am in the NYC area.
Thank you

View the latest post Carver 440 exhaust problem

I have Cummins 475 hp engines. The exhaust is terminated through 45 degree elbows at the transom and out past the swim platform. My probelm is a tremendous amount of sooting that is accumulating both over my dinghy mounted at the rear of the swim platform and all over the stern of the boat. Has anyone ever tried extending the exhaust pipes to the rear edge of the swim platform to stop this. The engines are in tune with no issues. Any suggestions would be welcomed.

View the latest post 2000 Carver 406 Aft Cabin

Just picked up my Carver 406 Aft Cabin last weekend and so far am really enjoying it. I traded up from a 1997 Sea Ray 400 Sundancer and we are really enjoying the extra comforts and roominess of the Carver. I would be very interested in communicating with other 406 owners to talk about their experiences with their own boats.

Happy boating!
Dave

View the latest post gasket on flybridge steering?

I own a great 3207 that has been in my family since 86. My only concern is my flybridge steering is leaking hydraulic fluid from the front of the console. I undid the bolts, thinking I needed to find a bleed valve. Since this, it leaks. Is there a gasket or should I just make my own?

View the latest post Deck railing skirt material

On my 1995 325 AFT the hard panels on the outside of the rails are missing. This is the railing on the deck just above the aft berth. It appears they were cut off as I can see grinder marks on the railing where some of the mounting holes are.

My wife wants hard side skirting vs. canvas. I'm going to DIY this but have them custom cut. Does anyone know what material I should use? Where can I find the stand offs Anyone done this before or have some tips?

Thanks in advance.

View the latest post Attachment(s) '96 325 Aft Cabin, New member

Hi, we're new here. We've had our 325 AC '96 for about 4 years now. Port eng rebuilt 3 yrs ago, stbd rebuilt 1 yr ago. We boat out of Freeport, Long Island, NY. This is our 4th boat, having started with a 19' Dynasty cuddy, 24 ft Chris Craft Euro express cruiser, then a few years off until we got a Maxum 2400 SCR mid cabin pocket cruiser with AC.

I've done many improvements to the Carver from radar arch, to high bilge alarm, to the most recent replacement of twin cooktops to Induction ; best upgrade yet !

Tom (& Liz).
