View the latest post Anti-Syphon Valves

I have a 1997 325 Aft Cabin with 350 Crusaders. The manual says there are anti-syphon valves in the fuel system, and recommends inspecting/cleaning them. The book does not show you where they are located or what they look like. Can anybody give me this information?

Thanks

Hello,

Sitting here on my 466 and all the monitors started beeping. I believe the signal is for low power. How does one ascertain if power fell?

Thanks

Greetings everyone...My wife and I are new to boating and our first purchase is a '93 Carver 300 Aft Cabin. In pretty rough shape when we got her, as the prior owners had left the state (WA) and neglected her for two years before deciding to sell. After detailing the exterior, a complete gut job and reno of the interior, and a full tune-up of both Crusader 350's plus new heat exchangers and risers, she is now in nearly perfect condition and we look forward to enjoying many years of happy cruising in and around the San Juan Islands of North Puget Sound.

We now feel like we have our own waterfront condo for less than the cost of a decent used car, and we love the space and comfort of the Aft Cabin layout.

Looking Forward to sharing adventures with other Carver fans! Dan :captain2:

View the latest post Water System

Just purchased a 1988 Carver Mariner 3697. Ice maker not receiving water (entire system was winterized) and pressurized water system not functioning. I found the manual online with a general water diagram, but can't find the 3 tank diagram. Can someone help me locate the diagram and figure out how to get water to the ice maker? (This is my first boat!)

View the latest post Volvo Engine ID

I am new with Carvers and still learning many things. The Volvo Diesels on board are TAMD74P. Just a basic question... what is the difference between a TAMD74L or TAMD74/C? Looks like size and shape and maintenance requirements are the same but I guess I'm just bothered that I don't know the difference.

Is it worth knowing the difference?

Thanks again.

Thanks for having me aboard. I have been boating for many years, with my last boat being a Bayliner 242, but we had just outgrown her. Little daughters turned into married women with big husbands and now a grandchild and needed more room. We found a 450 Voyager and have been very happy.

I am learning about many new systems and boat handling techniques so I welcome the advise and knowledge you can share.

Thanks for the future help!

Is anyone having bridge floor issues? I suspect water has caused soft spots.

View the latest post Volts 1/Volts 2/ Auxilliary switch

I have a 1979 Carver Mariner 28. It's in EXCELLENT shape no hack jobs it's been maintained properly it's whole life. The ONLY issue I am having is when I switch the auxiliary switch on either control console to "Volts 1" I get no fuel tank reading for that engine but "Volts 2" works fine. I have already done all of the obvious things... Cleaned leads and plugs, looked for any disconnections.... Is this possibly a battery connection issue? I'm lost. Everything else works as it should. Maybe fuel sending unit? I can monitor the fuel knowing I keep equal amounts in both tanks (actually I always put a little extra in the tank that won't show the level to be safe... ) I just want my old boat to work 100% correctly. HELP! :help:
