Got a 1986 3607 and the throttle controls are tough and not very smooth to operate.

Anyone rebuilt the throttle controls before?

View the latest post Attachment(s) Completed Spiral Stairs

Well after much discussion as to where to cut the railing and where to place the top stair, it's completed all except a plate for the top which should be arriving very soon .
I just have to figure out how to clean the rust on the platform and the marks from the previous ladder.

Oh yea, I need to install a swim ladder also.

View the latest post Attachment(s) Kohler generator for dummies, questions

Hi,
Because we are usually in the slip when we need power, I have yet to need my generator. I have started it a few times and will make a habit out of starting it more often. I realized that although I started it, I had put no load on it. The instructions I have are vague as far as how to start and use it. I switch the shore power to off and start it, then I flip the breaker switch on the generator to on and now what? I dont see anything happen and no sign of electrical power. Can anyone give me step by step instructions? I feel kind of dumb here.

View the latest post 115 VAC #1 Panel

When I turn on my sure power the volt meter reads 115volts but my A.C. amperes meter stays at 0 and the breaker trips when my portable a/c compressor kicks on. The battery charger is also on the same circuit and the A/C worked well for 1 week prior to this happening. The amperes meter is still 0 with the circuit breakers off. What could cause this? Thanks for any suggestions . 1979 carver33' all original.

View the latest post Intake Hose leak??

Just picked up new to me 1987 Carver 2557 Montego twin 180/3.7LX (4bbl) with alpha one outdrives.
Checked bellows before purchase looked ok newer all intact, During seatrail ran great shifted great. when we got back to dock was letting it idle and starboard engine was running hot. After I got it home I as was reinspecting and found starboard hose from bellhousing to gimbal housing is kinked and looks like it has a hole.
Looking for advise as to if I can change out hose be removing drive then bellhousing? Will I be able to change hose with out removing drive shaft and exhaust bellows.
Any thought or help would be appreciated.

View the latest post 1976 mariner 28 with furnature on fly bridge

i just had an awesome idea to get rid of the extremely dated back to back seats and replace them with 2 swivel chairs and them add an l shaped couch from a pontoon boat on the starboard side with a table to port or poss a bench. with the sheer size of the bridge i think this could work awesome, has anyone ever tried anything like this?

Hello, on the 2005 model 396 are there in line filters for the heads? If so, can you give me an idea where they might be located?
Thanks Bob
