I am in the process of closing on a 2001 350 Mariner.
The switch panel on the right of the helm seat is in rough shape cosmetically. Would anyone know if there is a good after market supplier to retrofit this?

I have a Ultraflex dual throttle on my fly bridge that will not lock in place. I have to hold it in place or it will float down and loose power. Is there an adjustment so it does not move once set at the desired speed ? Any help appreciated!

Not advertising or selling, but I had a good experience with my boat name.
Options in my part of Maine are limited, so I went online.
Found a place in FLA that took my sketch, produced a graphic, and shipped within 24hrs. Applied pretty easily (easier than getting the old name off! Combination of paint and decal. Heat gun + EasyOff+ elbow grease).
Hopefully it proves to be durable, but so far I'm pleased.

New Carver Owner
- Posted by: wilsonballew » May 11th, 2014, 7:53 am

Hi Folks:
Just purchased a 1983 Carver Riviera 2807 Aft Cabin. Boat will be transported from Maine to Maryland next week. Looking forward to getting the boat and doing some preliminary re-commissioning work. The boat has been in storage for 18 months and although it was properly stored/winterized/shrink wrapped and bottom painted, it will need a complete once over. I took a risk purchasing the boat off of pictures, maintenance/repair receipts, discussions with the owner and marina where it has been kept and maintained, without benefit of a survey; I paid far below BUC "poor" condition value for the boat, even though I feel the boat is in good condition, I have room to make any repairs [within reason] and still stay within the boat's market value. The boat was seaworthy and in-the-water/used prior to going into storage. Long story, but the owner broke his hip and has never fully recovered which is why the boat has not come out of storage.
Depending on what I discover when the boat is delivered and unwrapped, I will either have gotten a really good deal and be pleasantly surprised
OR I will be singing the "boat owners two happiest days" song
. I'll post after the unwrapping ceremony.

Hey All,
Anyone have any idea where to find door handle parts for my Carver Mariner? I have been searching the Internet but can't locate any. They are brass, and for thin doors.
Thanks,
Steve

I would like to add an electric winch for the dingy mounted on the swim platform but not sure of a secure enoulgh location. Is the aft hardtop on a Carver 3607 sturdy enough to handle the pull of a dinghy with a 15 hp motor?
Thanks,

View the latest post 1977 Carver 2576 Camper - Identifying unknown switches
- Posted by: Rearadmiral » May 6th, 2014, 11:22 am
- Forum: Carver Yachts Forum - Model Discussion
Hello all, I'm finishing restoration on my 77 Camper and was wondering if anyone was familiar with the aux volts/fuel volts switch. What position should they be in?

Also, does anyone else have these switches in front of the throttle? It's a push button and to rocker switches. I was told the depth charge lever is for nuetral throttle control the others dont work and I have no clue.

Thanks in advance for any help!

View the latest post Generator 120v relays SPARKING BAD!!!!
- Posted by: jwrape » May 6th, 2014, 7:03 am
- Forum: General Repairs & Maintenance
I just replaced both of these Generator 120v relays because one didn't work and the other was sparking. I figure out that the one on the left only sparks when the Salon A/C unit comes on. There are a few times when it settles down and works correctly, but most of the time it sparks like a fireworks display as shown in the video here.

I am wondering if there is an upgrade from these relays to something less "Sparky"
I don't know why the front A/C unit does this on the Generator, it works perfectly on shore power.
