View the latest post Anyone add Lights inside their old NorCold Fridge?

The Fridge seems VERY dark and I would love to add a light inside, has anyone looked into this?
I just repainted the inside from NASTY yellow and rust color to matte white.
I also had to remold the inside upper door panel, it is severely cracked up. But I think it turned out pretty nice. It will work until I find another one that's not $1500+. I'm gonna keep looking for a used one but I'm not holding my breath. This one works good, just looks a little old and rough around the edges.

View the latest post Do I need two 30 amp Shore Power Cables or one?

I have a Carver 28 Mariner that, of course, only has one 30 amp cable.
I just bought a Carver 3207 Aft and it has two connectors for 30 amp cables. I've seen pics of people with 3207's running one 30 amp cable and I've seen pics with 2. I bought it at auction so I don't have any power right now and was wondering what I need to run, 1 or 2? AND what's the difference. Two sides of the panel or something? I know my old 74 F44 Trojan had two separate sides of the 110v panel

View the latest post Water spickets in the bildge connected to thru hull inputs

I don't know exactly what these are there for, but on both port and starboard sides I have, what looks like, bent PVC pipes spliced into the through hull water ports that feed the engines with fresh water that are just mounted up like wash down spickets or something. Does anyone else have these? Is this factory, I don't think so. I'm kinda concerned about them being brittle or getting brittle and breaking. It doesn't seem like the smartest way to put in a bilge wash down and two of them at that. Just strange to me. Unless I am missing the real reason they are there.

Just figured I would ask you guys to see if you might have seen something like this before. I am thinking about capping them off for safety reasons as to not spring a leak.

View the latest post Missing my swim stairs

So my new to me 3207 is missing the fold down part of the swim steps. Anyone know where I can find them for a decent price? Or maybe an alternative?

View the latest post Fuel tank capacity - 1998 355

I am trying to get a definitive answer on fuel tank capacity for my 1998 Carver 355.

In my research I have come across the total gallons as 318 (though sometimes as 320) gallons. I do have the aft aux tank which I see references to being 120 gallons, and then the port/stbd tanks at 100 gallons (of course this equals 320 gallons, not 318) though sometimes the port/stbd tanks are listed at 99 gallons (which would give 318 gallons).

I do have the owners manual but it is not clear on exactly what is what, thus my question. Any help would be appreciated!

View the latest post fancy battery setup

So the previous owner of my boat gave me 6 new batteries. I have decided that I want 2 batteries per engine and one house battery does and one have a diagram handy on how I should go about this without blowing myself out of the water?

View the latest post 4207 on Prop Depth.

Hi Folks,
Has anyone with a 4207 happen to know what the distance is from the keel bottom, to the bottom of the propellors? I would like to be able to bring the boat up on our Club's Tidal Grid next month, but , I need to know the measurement from the keel bottom, to the bottom of the propellors, so that I don't wind up bending the propellors. Has anyone got a schematic drawng of this model?
Thanks for your help

View the latest post exterior window trim

New to the site....We're looking at a '94 37 that has pitting around each exterior window trim. The trim appears to be aluminum. Is this common? What is the fix and why did it do this in the first place?

We really like the boat but the paint has come off and the pitting really detracts from the rest of the boat. How labor intensive is it to get it back to normal?

The boat has been boat house kept in the Northwest nearly its entire life.

Thank you!

View the latest post Storage Box on Swim Platform

I have the 2005 Carver 396. On the swim platform there is a storage/dock box that I feel is in the way. I have a dock box on the dock so I really don't need the additional storage. Has anybody removed the box and if so what can I expect to find underneath? Is the fiberglass finished off and just a few holes to be filled.
Thanks Bob
