View the latest post TV mount suggestions

Guten Morgan All,
Any good suggestions on where to mount the tv in my mariner? It appears that the best spot would be on the ladder that goes to the bridge, of course that would kill the use of the ladder. Has anyone ever seen a pole mount for a tv that could swivel? The rail on that ladder is 7/8". I have found a few, but they all need almost a 1 1/4" rail or larger. Thoughts?

View the latest post Attachment(s) Hi to all from a new member.

Hi all. Just found this forum and excited to be a contributing member. We are long time boaters for the last 40 years and currently own a Carver 3807. We had a 3227 Carver prior to this one, another great boat. We really love our Carver and cruise the Grand Haven Michigan area but take some trips west and north each summer. I have done considerable upgrades and maintenance on the 3807 and would love to talk to others about their projects and mine.

Attached a picture of the Sandi L II.

Enjoy the upcoming season.///

View the latest post Attachment(s) 3807 Bridge cover

Just finished a bridge cover for my 3807. When we go to the lake the first thing we would do is take the side curtains off the bimini. It will be nice to keep the side curtains stored away clean and not have to handle them every weekend. I really like this waterproof cover and it is quick on and off. Obviously my Bimini is not on in this picture but it can be on at the same time the bridge cover is on.

View the latest post Attachment(s) 1983 3207 aft cabin

Hello all,
Just stumbled upon this site and figured it would be a great place to learn and offer insight.
The little woman and I have been boating and cruising for almost 20 years now, and this will be our fourth boat .(they keep getting bigger)
We are also members of United Staes Power Squadron and enjoy the company of many boating friends.
Boating here in mid-michigan on the east side of the state doesn't give us a vey long season but we try to get 1 or 2 small trips a year in .Last year we purchase our first carver in Cheboygan and took it under the mackinaw bridge (for me the highlight of the trip) and spent 6 days on "Moonstruck" bringing her home , powered by 260 crusader engines we avg. 12 gal per hour.......Hey if it was about money we wouldn't own a boat.

Thanks for the site,
Marilyn and Paul

View the latest post Installing a bow thruster in a 396/444

We are thinking about adding a bow thruster. If there is anyone reading this forum that has a 396 or a 444 with a bow thruster
and would share any information and possibly some pictures of it's location and any other technical data I would sure appreciate
it. Carver gave the boat yard I deal with some information but the yard told me they need to see a installed one so they know exactly
what they are dealing with. Like location of stringers compared to the thruster motor.

Hey all, just bought my 2000 Carver 406 with 7.4L Mercruiser MPIs. I love everything about it so far!

One question, does anyone have fuel burn numbers for my engine combo?

I would love to know what I'm burn at 500 rpm increments.

I look forward to all of the great advice on this forum!

View the latest post Engine Alarm: Normal Temp, Normal Oil pressure

This past weekend I took my 41 CMY out for a 20 mile trip. On the way home, I had an engine alarm go off on my port engine when I pushed the throttles up past 2800 RPM. I immediately shut it down and started looking things over. I got normal temps and oil pressure, so I started up again. As long as I stayed below 2500 RMP it was OK, no alarm. I tried throttling up again and same thing, after about 30 seconds the alarm went off. Came home at low RPM around 1800 RPM with no problems.

I have Volvo D6 370s and the alarm on the led panel just said check manuel. I'm sure it must be something silly. I did have the oil and filters changed the week prior. To my knowledge there is no fuel leak.

Anyone have this issue before?

View the latest post Parts for 3807 aft cabin

Folks,

I just bought a 1987 3807 aft cabin. I spent the weekend evaluating what I need to clean, fix, replace, etc. Like all boats, the 3807 has some things unique to it. Does anyone have resources for parts like the dome lighting in the aft deck ceiling? How about a place to get the custom fitted bed linens for the fore and aft statesrooms?
