View the latest post Generator exhaust fumes

My new to me Carver 355 AC has an issue with generator exhaust fumes getting into the salon. When I run the generator, the salon fills with fumes enough to set off the CO detectors. The exhaust smell also blows out the main AC ducts even though the AC unit is located in a compartment sealed off from the main bilge area.

Te local boat yard can't find any issues and said that the exhaust fittings are secure.

Does anyone have any other ideas on how to troubleshoot this issue. The generator is unusable right now.

Thanks for any help.
Joe

Has anyone put a Norcold DE 0061 into a Carver 3207? If you have do you have pics to show how you did it. It's not the same size as the Norcold that came with the boat in 1983.

View the latest post 1993 Carver Mariner 330 Major Leaks

I have a 93 Carver Mariner 330. I have a major leak that i have tried to find the source of but with no luck. The water accumlates inside of the closest vynl ceiling pannel to the sliding doors (about 3ish feet in front of the doors. Does anyone know if there is an area in the mariner series that is sort of typical for leaks???? I have tried spraying water in different areas and checking to no avail. Thanks for your time Ted Silbert tsilbert@fast.net

View the latest post Attachment(s) New Member In SC

Hey everybody! We are an Air Force couple stationed in Charleston, SC. We recently (about a year ago) purchased a 1999 Carver 356 Aft Cabin. We are loving it! We haven't taken a cruise yet, because of my deployments and doing some minor fix-ups on her. She is Makin' Waves--and we are loving the new adventures we will be having with her. So far we have only been up from Hilton Head SC to bring her home and then out on a couple fishing excursions 10-15 miles off the coast. I was very pleased with the boat and have only had 1 real issue so far (bad clutch dampner).

The engines have only 580 hrs on them, but I have been doing some preventative maintenance since she is a 1999 model. So far, I have replaced the injectors on the Port side engine and replaced a few fuses in the DC main panel. I plan on replacing the fuel injectors on the Starboard engine this fall when I return from my latest (and hopefully last) deployment. As well as removing the heat exchangers on both engines. I used to be a Jet engine mechanic in a prior life, so I love to tinker (and save money not paying a god awful amount in labor).

We are on eboatcards if you are near Charleston. I am always looking for advice/help with projects and more importantly we are looking for new friends to share this new found love with! I have been flying for 17+ years and am now ready to get wet!!

Hope to hear from some of you soon!

Todd and Dawn

View the latest post 1989 Carver 3807 holding tank

Does anyone know where the access hatch is to view the hose connections for the aft head holding tank? I found the tank is located in the area behind the galley settee and refrigerator but I cannot see the hose connections.

Thought I'd introduce myself as a new member to the forum I'm sure I will find it very informative. My wife and family have enjoyed boating in our Carver Santego on Lake Superior over the past 10 years. It was a great boat but we decided to move up to an aft cabin to meet the needs of extended cruises. Our new boat is a 1989 Carver 3807 that we purchased in Chicago, IL. We definitely had an opportunity to test out the living space aboard as we boated her back to Thunder Bay, ON, Canada with another couple; I have to say the living space was outstanding as was the scenery! Looking forward to participating in the forum...Gary

View the latest post New to Forum

New wife and I recently purchased a 2000 356 aft cabin. Also, new to this type and size vessel - a lot to learn; like, how to drive it...

Looking forward to the forum discussions and other useful information.

Our home is in Punta Gorda Isles, FL. Fortunately, we have a dock in the back yard - very convenient.

Any members in this area?

View the latest post 3007 List

Just a quick question to the other 3007 owners. I have a noticeable list to the right (looking to the front of the boat) when I fill the water. I understand that the tank is on that side, but has anyone done anything ingenious to solve this :) ?
