View the latest post 396 diesel blowers

Hello Carver Folks
I have just bought a 2001 396 with Cummings 370Bs and can't here any blowers when I flip the blower switch on the DC fuse panel or the dash. I have never owned diesel before, but from what I have read is the gas pre-start blowers are not mandatory in a diesel boat. Can everyone confirm that Carver omitted the blowers with diesel but kept all the switched in place?
Regards Dan

View the latest post ISO Exhaust Tip - Carver 440
- Posted by: MDA's Friendship » October 15th, 2013, 3:47 pm
- Forum: General Repairs & Maintenance
Hello, Carver Captains...
Have been on a fruitless online search adventure for sometime now, trying to track down a replacement s/s exhaust tip for my Carver 440.
It's a bolt-on-type stainless exhaust tip, fitting into the 6-inch opening on my port-side exhaust. It angles to outboard @ 45 degrees and flares to almost and 8-inch opening, ejecting my fumes and H2O 90 degrees to the hull.
I have pointed, clicked, typed and swiped until the sea cows have come home and cannot seem to find anything in the online world.
I get a lot of hits with automotive-related exhaust and gas-powered marine sites, but haven't even come close to finding what I need.
Surely somebody out there has had their tip fall off...or knows "a friend" who had that happen. Where did you find a replacement?
Would appreciate any clues on where to look.
Thanks, folks.

She's been pulled and is safely in the building for winter. Now I can get rid of that awful pinkish red bottom paint and do some more buffing. She looked great all season and will look even better next year

I just bought a 1999 350 Mariner. There are 2 waste discharge ports. I have used the one labeled waste but there is another one right next to it labeled Sea Water Waste. What is this and where does it go?

- Forum: Introduce Yourself!
Hello fellow Carver Yacht Owners. We are John and Martha from Markham, Ontario. Our home port is in Penetanguishene, Ontario at Bay Moorings Marina and the name of our boat is First Light. We have a 1984 Carver 3207 in immaculate shape. We average more than 500nm per summer and more than 40 nights mostly on the hook somewhere in Southern Georgian Bay. We have been boating for more than 40 years. Our goal in 3 years is to travel the Great Loop and spend our winters on the boat somewhere down south – deep south! I don’t think we would do that in the 3207, so we are keeping our eyes open for something a little larger and more efficient.

Considering an '84 Mariner 28
Will need to haul from Mass to Maine. I will use a professional service.
Boat is listed as 9'11" clearance, but I assume that is afloat from waterline to top of windscreen.
I believe through Mass, NH, and ME my limit is 13'6". Anyone with experience know height on hydraulic trailer? I'm hoping I only have to remove windscreen (if anything).
Thanks in advance for any input!

- Forum: General Repairs & Maintenance
Anyone know how to remove the AC Unit out of the Salon on a 2004 39MY? It might fit through the access panel if I remove the blower motor. Otherwise it looks like the TV cabinet needs to be removed. The condensation pan is rusted and leaking.
Thanks for any advice.

We are so excited about our future purchase. Just need to do the haul out and we're done.
We have opnly had ski boats in the past so we are excited about selling our 38 foot motorhome and moving on to the water. We will be in Channel Islands in CA if anyone else on here is located there too. I am sure we will have many questions.
