View the latest post Aft Deck panel spacers

1994 Carver 390. On aft upper deck we have polycarbonate panels around the sides. There are spacers between the panels and the railing held on by Plastic type rivets. We had damage during Hurricane Lee. REAL damage. The wind blew all of 23 KTS, and it popped off TWO, yes TWO of the rivets. Sadly the white spacers, round, about 1.25” flat on one side, half moon to fit around the rail on other side. I have seen the rivets, but have not seen the spacers. Any ideas of where?

All seriousness, hurricane was a total bust, thank all who can control it!

Thanks for any help!

Best,

Tony

View the latest post Attachment(s) Walter RV 40 V drive fluid change

New to me 1985 3697 Mariner with Crusader 454 ch350, Velvet Drive 1:1 to RV 40s.

Have the Velvet drive trannies done, now to the V drives which are independently mounted and easily accessible through hatches in the salon. Have found several manuals for procedure, only real question is fluid type. I have read 30 weight HD motor oil which I can only find in detergent type. Others say non detergent 30w which is available at Wally World and part stores. I called Walter and they said 30w motor oil, either detergent or non is fine. Another manual states to add 2 oz. Molybdenum disulfide (molykote) for break in, not needed after that but good to add. To confuse things further my original Crusader manual lists EP68 or APG-80 gear lube, both difficult to find.

Probably overthinking this, will go with what Walter company said, but any thoughts welcome. Also thoughts on the Molykote.

View the latest post E80 Chart Plotter

I have a 2007 41 CMY with an E80 Chart Plotter. When I purchased the boat last September the compact flash slot was empty. I was able to get a 2GB compact flash card but it doesn't want to fully seat. Data is available from Navionics if the card would work. Any recommendations?

View the latest post Attachment(s) Remove windows on 370 voyager 93

Good morning
I want to repaint the window frames of my 370 Voyager from 93. Once the screws are removed I can't get them out and I can't slide a through blade, something is blocking me. I think the frames are not flat behind. I couldn't find anything on the forum. Does anyone know or have done this before?
Thank for your help.

View the latest post Bow thruster oil change

Hi guys! I wish to change the bow thruster oil. I was thinking of doing it by vacuuming the reservoir, I believe using a synthetic 80/90 oil should should be okay for this. I've read that they talk about 150 grade but can I use a high quality 80/90?
Thanks in advance!

View the latest post Attachment(s) 2003 Carver 360 Rudder

Hello All,
If it weren’t for bad luck I’d have no luck. After fixing shaft seal and replacing bad fuel injector, me and my mechanic took boat on test run. Discovered trim tab brackets were broken so I ordered new ones. Diver came out to replace and let me know that the port side rudder is missing (sheared off). No idea how this happened since only time boat was taken out since cleaning last month was the above mentioned test run. During run there was no indication of issues with steering, just boat would not get on plane due to broken trim tabs. Need to find replacement rudder before I pull boat. Along with attached pics I have the survey description (see below). Only possibility is that when hurricane passed us a couple weeks back (no damage in Jacksonville) I noticed that my AC sea strainer was full of mud though I had just cleaned day before hurricane, telling me there was an extremely low tide and it sat deep in mud, possible putting stress on rudder and shearing it off.
Has anyone replaced a rudder for the 360 and if so do you have a serial number. Trying to pre order before pulling it from water. Diver couldn't see serial number on remaining rudder and is going to come back try and see if missing rudder is below.

If you did get a new rudder, where did you purchase from.

Edit: forgot to attach pics. Pics are from original survey earlier this year. A little advice I need to take. GET SERIAL NUMBERS FROM EVERYTHING BELOW THE WATERLINE LOL.
Thanks!!

From Survey.
