Hey guys and gals.
Can one of you tell me what the manual pump beside gas tank is for? It looks like it has a thru hull fitting.
Thx

View the latest post Attachment(s) Transducer replacement

Going to replace my vintage Apelco 360 fish finder which is burnt out and want to replace the cable and transducer, as well so I can have new tech . I’ve done a lot of work myself on boats but never replaced a thru-hull transducer while in the water . The picture shows my transducer . Can you pull and replace the transducer without taking on water ?

View the latest post 1995 370 Voyager control cables

Hi all!
I'm needing to replace my throttle cables at both stations and I'm having trouble finding anyone who knows how long they are. I'm fairly sure that none of the 4 cables will be the same length. I could of course pull them out and measure, however the spaces they travel through are inaccessible at best. I really want to use the old cables to pull in the new ones.

Have any of you done this job?

Thanks,
Tyler

I have removed my perfectly functional "princess 3 burner electric stove top". If anyone is interested let me know. I did post it on eBay, but I can delete from there if some one here is interested. I can ship it out as these days picking up in person is probably not ideal with all state restrictions.

View the latest post 98 355 Carver 7.4 Mercruiser rpms

Hey everyone! I just purchased this lovely 98 355 and on a 450 mile river run home I started having a issues with my port engine, after running for 1 1/2 -2 hours she starts losing rpms. I start out at 3200 rpms on both engines but the port engine will start losing rpms down to 2600 with the throttle wide open, after she sits overnight its fine for another 1-2 hrs. Any help would be awesome. Thanks

View the latest post 1985 3207 Aft need Bimini pattern

Hi everyone,
Hope all are staying safe and healthy. We are transporting our boat from MN to CA. and realized our bimini (top portion only) is in need of replacement. Carver no longer has the pattern. We have the material and our current top. I realize a custom fit is best but have spoken to a marine canvas maker in CA. who can pattern it with our top. He says having the pattern is key. Anyone have this pattern or original dimensions? or a recommendation for a custom shop in Marina Del Rey?
Thanks in advance,
GM

View the latest post Attachment(s) Replacing 1989 battery charger 38 Santego

I bought a Promariner ProNauticP Series 1240P 3 bank charger to replace what I guess is the original old faded blue charging unit. I’m not sure if the original is a single bank that connects to a bus bar or something? Haven’t looked real close yet. I just wanted to drop in here and see if y’all can offer any advice and or gotchas I should be considering before going down to the boat. For example, I have a huge 8D battery on port and one on starboard and a regular starting battery for the genset, but I have no idea how they are wired. Does the genset battery usually get a charge from a charger? Are the 8D’s separate or connected? Any and all advice appreciated. Thank you.

View the latest post REPLACING LEAKING T WATER SYSTEM FITTING

Have 1990 Model Carver.

Isolated leak in my pressurized water system to T fitting... leaking at the joint where the tube is inserted in the fitting.

Have Grey plastic tubing and rubber hose tubing 1/2 inch going into fitting.

Need suggestions on how to repair since the fitting and tubing is out of date.
