Post 638 santego crank shaft clearance

I was hoping someone with a 638 or one of the other model numbers it was called (I think 3467 and 380) be able to measure the clearance they have from the prop shaft pulley to the stringer.

I currently have both engines out of my boat right now and I am kicking myself for not measuring this when they were still in but I am thinking about installing crank mounted water pump and getting rid of the belt driven ones. I would love to do this while the engines are still out. I know it will be tight wit ...

Post Hydraulic Pump Question - Garmin Upgrade Project 2002 Carver 346

Trying to figure out if the Garmin PN: 010-00705-64 GHP 1.2L Pump is adequate for my 2002 Carver 346 autopilot upgrade.

Backstory: Bought a low hour (220) freshwater Carver 346 (2002) last season, this year embarking on a major Garmin upgrade of all systems they touch (MFD, sonar, radar, autopilot, stereo, VHF, lighting). Launch is scheduled for week after next. Just finished sanding entire bottom, next is a fresh coat of Hawk Monterey bottom paint, installed new magnesium anodes (1.5" shaft, R ...

Post Carver 396 salon window replacement

Okay, I know I've posted about this in other threads but I thought I'd start a "clean" thread to capture our salon window replacement. I'll add to this as it progresses.

First, I originally planned to do this repair myself as the original quotes I received up in the North Florida area ranged from $3000 to a little over $6000. That was just for the replacement. It did not include the cost of the window. I couldn't justify that so I figured I'd just do it myself.

However, while we were in the Ke ...

Post Walter V Drive for Parts Ratio: 2.05:1 20-D - Seattle

For parts or for rebuild.

Please make me an offer.

Pick up in North Seattle.

This came out of the port side of a 1996 Carver Mariner with twin crusaders.

I had this drive disassembled for a rebuild, was in a hurry and ordered a new drive for $5000 instead. I was told that this drive is in great condition and didn't need a rebuild, but we had it apart and that's where it ended.

If you know anything about Walter drives, you know that they are built very robust. The gears and bearings are massive ...

Hi all,

We have owned our 2001 450 Voyager for 2 years. We're from Central Florida. We're currently cruising America's great loop, during summers only. This Summer will be our second season. Our boat name is Fluidity and she has just completed her first winter on the hard on the eastern shore of the Chesapeake in Oxford, MD. at Hinckley Bachelor Point marina. We're excited to continue our adventure this summer up the Hudson river and beyond. We look forward to meeting fellow Carver owners along o ...

Post What type of breaker?

I'm trying to determine what type of breaker originally was used on this panel for the windlass. At some point it was changed over to a 135 amp Bussman surface mount breaker. I'm replacing the inverter and other components and have very limited space to mount everything so I'd like to find a breaker that fits back in the original space.
