I just purchased a ac/heat unit for my 28 mariner. I was wondering where the factory location is.

View the latest post Replacing the port fuel tank on a Carver 42 ACMY

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to do this. I've been told to cut a hole in the salon floor and remove most of the engine. I've also been told to cut a hole in the hull and slide the tank out laterally. Which is the best way to do this; personally I don't have a clue. By the way, I'm not going to do the work myself. This is beyond my capability. Any ideas on this will be greatly appreciated.

View the latest post BILDGE BLOWERS 560 VOYAGER

I have a 2006 560 Voyager. I need help in trouble shooting a problem with my bilge blowers. The blowers are suppose to turn on/off anytime the engines are on/off as well as a manual on/off switch on the 12 volt panel. There are four 12 volt breakers and blowers; they all are designed to come on and off at the same time. In addition there are replays that auto start and stop these blowers when the engines are off and on. The issue is one of the blower breakers trips after about 5 minutes and then they all shut off. I could really use a wiring diagram and or description of the circuit logic and relay locations. Any help and or input is appreciated.

View the latest post Trailer transport a 396 or 406 Aft Cabin

Wondering how difficult is might be to take the arch and aft hardtop down so as to carry a 396 or 406 aft-cabin over the road. Anyone have experience with this?

If the max allowed height from the road is 13 1/2 feet would the helm/dash be an issue? And yes, a low bed trailer would help. Boat weighs approx 27,000 lbs dry and is 40' long. A travel-lift for on/off the trailer seems pretty routine--its mostly the "dis-assembly" that concerns me. I will ask DOT if they could do a waivor on the height limit.

View the latest post TV on board

I just upgraded the TV in the salon of my 506 to a smart TV. I don't really watch that much TV on e boat, but the kids like it. I have been reluctant to spend $5,000 on a satellite receiver, so have been looking for alternatives--no cable at my marina. I am considering getting a Slingbox to hook up to my Direct TV at home, and receiving the satellite signal over the Internet on my smart TV (the marina has high-speed wireless Internet). Does anyone have any experience with this? I am wondering how well it really works...

View the latest post Attachment(s) Re-introduction

Yesterday was a sad day as I said goodbye to The Dog House, our 27 Montego that we've had for 15 years. We are, however, buying a 1998 310 Santego and should have her in about a week. Survey is done, just waiting on paperwork. Her name will be "PartnerShip". Signed the buyers agreement yesterday...she's ours, mostly clean, new carpet, and some other projects before she goes to her berth

This is after we've cleaner her up a bit

View the latest post Water Tank Plumbing

On my 81 3007 aft cabin, there are two water tanks, one port and one starboard.

My starboard tank was disconnected at some point for some work on that engine. The question is, how are these tanks plumbed and connected together? It almost looks like the inlet Ys off to fill both tanks, and the draw from the pump also is Y'd to draw from both tanks???? Am I wrong?

Any help in how this is supposed to be plumbed would be helpful.

Hello from Galveston Bay Texas,
I’m new to this forum and bought a 2006 560 Voyager in 2010. The boat is named TEMPUS FUGIT, which is Latin for time flys. Prior to the carver I had a 2004 Meridian 411 for 6 years. I’ve seen firsthand the value of a active forum via my meridian experience and look forward to doing the same here.
