View the latest post Bimini Top - boot cover

Looking for a Bimini top boot cover. Preferably in Cobalt or Marine blue color. I have a 1994 Carver Voyager 320. It has a 4 bow rod assembly. Live in a small community in South Dakota. Only a couple of canvas folks here and this is not a priority project for either. Any suggestions on where I might find one? Thanks in advance!!!!

Tom here from Boulder City NV. Just bought a 1988 Carver Voyager. Tough during this virus thing. Lake Mead is closed but we can shelter in place on the boat in the Lake Mead Boat Harbor. Lot's of questions to ask or search for.

View the latest post Impellers

I saw a discussion on the Trent Severn Waterway Forum, here in Ontario, where someone stated that you must be sure to install your impeller properly. They went on to say that impellers do NOT self correct if they are put into the housing with the blades in the wrong direction. The author advised that if your marine tech tells you they do self correct, it's time to find a new tech.

I have always been told that impellers do self correct and I have been advised this by marine tech's over the years.

What are your views on this and I am interested to hear what forum members have to say about it.

It is the proper time for a discussion like this, as you all known, many of us will be replacing our impellers in the next short while.

Greg

View the latest post Port engine access 2004 360 Sedan (8.1 Crusaders)

Hello. I need some advise from someone that is familiar with the 2004 360 (8.1L Crusaders) sedan with access to the top of the port engine. I need to pull the fuel rail and am wondering if/how to pull the floor up to gain access. The refrigerator and wall cabinet are there as well as the galley floor. How/can they be pulled up and removed?

Thanks in advance if anyone has tackled access on the top of this engine on this model.

Scott in York PA.

View the latest post Canvas and enclosure for sale: 1994 390 CPMY

In the summer of 2020, while still on the dry, we had a full custom canvas and Isenglass enclosure made and installed by Yuriy of Cover-All Marine, Mullica HIll, NJ (http://www.coverallmarine.com/) . Yuriy's work is top notch. We launched very late in the season and enjoyed three days travelling before tying up at our home port at Schooner Island Marina in Wildwood, NJ. A few weeks later our beloved CPMY went down in a "Bomb Squall" while docked at our marina. The sinking was partial; salt water up to the oven. She was immediately hauled and blocked. After reviewing the extent of water intrusion we decided to give her up to salvage instead of dealing with the emotions associated with restoration. Since the enclosure was brand new the insurance company let us remove and retain ownership. Boat US / Geico were great. (I highly recommend having a financial survey and Agreed Hull Value policy.) With Geico's approval I personally removed all components and stored them in our condo in WIldwood, NJ which is conveniently immediately adjacent to the marina. Each panel is laid flat, in a conditioned space.

We enjoyed the CPMY so much that we started the search in hopes of purchasing a sister ship and intending on installing the canvas on our next vessel. After several months of searching for the right boat we've given up and are now offering the enclosure for sale.

It appears that the enclosure should be an exact fit for the following models: 390 CPMY, 400 CPMY, 404 CPMY, 350 Aft Cabin, 356 Aft Cabin. Please perform your own diligence to confirm fitment.

The enclosure includes the original factory stainless bow bimini frame, all new Sunbrella canvas, grey in color. The glass is the Isenglass. We also have a new bonnet for the front windows made of the same Sunbrella material. The total cost of all was $13,500.
Photos can be found at the following link:
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/ ... sp=sharing

Accepting reasonable offers. Please consider that the enclosure was only a few months old at time of removal and used a total of three days.

Thank you,
Tom

View the latest post Attachment(s) 1999 MIE 7.4 MPI ECM Parameter's

Hello all, I am currently searching for a gremlin in my port engine. I have Diacom and can pull all the info the ECM receives however I don't really know what to compare the info to. Is there a chart that is available that displays the RPM-MAP-IAC-IPW-Spark Advance etc. to know what the target parameter is for each at a specified RPM? I understand a chart with this info could be extremely complicated and large however there has to be some sort of table because that's what the ECM uses. Any thoughts?

Thanks for your help.

View the latest post Recommendations please...

Does anyone have a recommendation for a Random Orbital Polishing Machine? There are a plethora for sale.
Shurehold features a unit ( mfg#3500) that seems pretty interesting, however I would appreciate your first hand experience and feedback.
Thanks.
