VuQube in Canada

Postby darrenlife » February 3rd, 2019, 7:47 pm

Hi Folks,

Wondering if any of our Canadian members have tried the VuQube portable satellite system? It’s a fraction of the price of the “tracking satellite” systems and I don’t watch TV while I’m driving :-P

No experience with it but it does say compatible with ExpressVu meaning it works in Canada. I would be a little concerned when close to 30% of people who bought this rate it at 1 star not to mention it is "discontinued by manufacturer" . https://www.amazon.com/VuQube-VQ1000-Satellite-Discontinued-Manufacturer/product-reviews/B0014SCLCM

Keep looking on eBay and you might luck out like I did. Got my slightly used Intellian system for $575 US. :-O

i have a vucube that i never had trouble with worked fine everytime i used it. i had used it with my rv and dish network until about 2 years ago when dish changed some signals that these tracking satelittes needed to use to find the the satellites. however this did not affect directv. with my intellion i2 all i had to do was upload a software patch to it and it was good to go but not so with the vucube. if you have direct tv and your interested in it let me know.
