Fish locators

Postby Seif911 » April 24th, 2013, 9:38 am

Good Morning All,
My Carver only has bridge controls for driving, not complaining. Obviously I will be mounting my Humminbird 898 Side Imaging locator at this location. My question is that am sure that there will be people watching the poles in the cockpit and they would like a radar too :-P

What would everyone suggest? If I get another 898, one is that it will be super expensive but also I think it only goes to one or the other when sharing transducers. So does that lead me to getting just a cheaper locator that has a transducer off the stern? Thoughts?

Thanks,
Steve
Thanks,
Steve

Does Humminbird offer a second slave station for your head unit?
Thanks

I looked around the Internet and it almost appears that I can use a lesser locator, maybe one w/o the Side imaging, however I was getting the impression that if I was using one, that I could not use the other at the same time.
I kind of wanted both to work at the same time, so I am not really sure what to do. I should probably send humminbird a email to find out.
Thanks,
Steve
