Do any of you remove your inlet lines to ac pump and clean them periodically,if so what is the best cleaner? Vinegar etc. I am in freshwater. Thanks for your replies.

I clean my strainer a couple times a season but have never needed to clean the lines.

I never clean lines. Strainers checked at winterizing time but it really depends on the conditions of where you boat. Why are you asking? Are you having a problem with the lines or the AC unit?

Maybe he doesn't have a strainer, or had the ac running when he was sitting on the bottom??

Hoses to A/C pump and manifold are removed and high pressure dock water is used with dock hose, adaptor and clamp. End result is a complete flushing of lines and evaporator coil which pushes any fine accumulated sediment out of the system. End result is improved cooling temperature.
Need to flush hoses varies by area and water conditions in the marina. Barnacle buildup can also be a problem in warmer salt water areas. There are flush solutions to address barnacle build up using a small re circulating pump.

Sea Flush has a few you tube videos on this procedure for cleaning the AC unit system and also your engine cooling system. MIKE
