I did replace the dockside inlet and the result was a minimal improvement of interior water pressure.

How strong is the pressure from the pedestal. Have you tried a hose on it just to see if pressure seems normal.Thinking it could simply be poor pedestal pressure.

I opened up the old one to see the guts. It is built into the unit and therefor no way to remove it. I was rather disappointed to see the restriction as the port size was no bigger then 1/4" which cannot be removed. This will severely restrict water flow. Imagine this as if your main entrance was only 1/4"! The best solution IMHO is a regular inlet with a check valve and an inline pressure reducer.

It is my understanding older Carvers have an in line check valve right after the inlet unlike the all in one Shurflo unit on mine.

You haven't mentioned in any post whether the water pressure is okay or just as low when operating from your on board water tank. This makes a difference in the diagnosis process.

Hans suggested checking pressure at the dock pedestal, have you confirmed it yet?

Can you post a picture of your old original inlet fitting? This is important as we shouldn't assume it's factory original given there is more than one way of plumbing a regulated dockside water inlet system.

Old post but can someone who has replaced the dockside inlet tell me where you purchased it from? I have a 2000 450 Voyager and connection does not seal to the water hose so I'd like to replace. Thanks

Have you checked that the seal is still in place? Same round rubber ring one finds in a regular garden hose setup.

I did and it was so I replaced. Still leaking where the metal fitting screws into the hose end. Thanks
