32 AFT Cabin, need help !!!!

Postby victory » August 14th, 2021, 2:43 pm

I have a Carver 32 AFT Cabin, which i am currently renovating. Looking for someone who has a similar model in SW Florida, need to discuss fixtures, pipes, and pumps, as I am not sure of their purpose. Manual not very useful. I live in Port Charlotte, Florida. Describe what you are looking at and can’t identify. Even though I don’t have a 32, what you have in the bilge isn’t that much different from my 35.
Best advice, get a good flashlight, open every opening you can find…and Carver is famous for putting bilge openings in hidden, out of the way places. Follow the hoses from end to end and try to identify their purpose. You should have 4-5-6 thru hulls…one for each engine, genset, air conditioning water pump, head intakes and discharges. 3-4 strainers. 2 sump pumps, one for each shower drain. Water pump for onboard water system. Water pump for air conditioning system. 2-3 bilge pumps. Possibly a sea water pump for exterior wash down.
