Carver typically installs 31 series deep cycle batteries in their boats.

Coincidentally, this thread popped up again after I had just finished checking my batteries as I’m getting ready for an early launch. Referring back to the original question and as a follow up to my two cents about leaving batteries on board, I wanted to pass on that I just plugged in the boat the other day and turned on the charger to check the state of charge on the batteries. The charger did its initial check of each bank then immediately went into float mode which indicates that the batteries remained fully charged over the winter.
