Hi, I'm new to the forum and just read this thread. I have just replaced all my rocker switches with the contura switches that have blue LED backlighting. They didn't fit into the holes in the old panels, but as was said above, those panels were looking worn anyway, so I replaced the 2 panels at the same time. It was a little pricey, but the result looks really good. Here is the link to the supplier of the switches and they also do custom panels, so I used them to make the panels.

Sorry, I just noticed that I sent the wrong link for the switches I used. I used the Contra V switches here:

Nice job, I do like that........way better than factory IMHO.......what did you use for the panels??... ..... :beergood:
The above is strictly my opinion always based on years of doing...remember to support local business , it pays back.

Thanks! Its a teak veneer finish on the standard ABS panel that they offer. They just it to shape, add cutouts for all switches, radio etc. Whatever you want them to do. You can even add a backlit logo or text to the panel itself.

Looks great, I've used their services before. They do a great job. They have panel builder software on their site that allows you to design your own panel then submit it for a quote. You can have them just build the panel for you with the cut-outs for the Conturas then purchase the switches somewhere else if you find them for a better price.

This was posted by another member in a different topic. The dash panel on a Carver Mariner is transparent where the lettering goes. There is the ability to back light the names for easy night operation. I am wondering if the switches have a option for panel illumination?

Looks like you can get just the knobs and replace them by Viper's reference! Sweet!

I only wish there was a way to put a dimmer switch on all these dash lights. They tend to effect ones night vision when maneuvering on a real dark night, IMO. At least they do to me having to wear glasses!

Mike, you can get a 12vdc dimmer and install it on your panel light circuit if you want to.
