Bilge pump circuit breaker

Postby sep4086 » November 5th, 2017, 4:11 pm

I am looking for a replacement circuit breaker for the auto bilge pump circuit. The switch is located under the stair leading to the back deck on my 1990 3867 Santego.

Have you pulled it out? Should be easy enough to cross reference. I'd numbers on side and same amp there should be a few companies to pick from

I will have to pull it out. It looks like a regular on/off toggle switch but it is also a circuit breaker. I think that I have to take the stair apart to get at the wires.

You can also email Carver and they can probably tell you the make and model of the breaker they put in when the built the boat, assuming it was a standard installation.

U sure it's bad? Maybe the bilge pump is bad and drawing to many amps? If u can exchange it with same amp size and see if it is the breaker before replacing.

I have already changed the bilge pump because it was locked up and I also changed the float switch.

In that case u may have fried the breaker or the new bilge pump draws more amps then the old one?
