Repair or replace

Postby PJHoffnet » April 9th, 2019, 4:09 pm

I have a ProMariner ProTech 1240i Plus battery charger - installed by PO in DEC 2014. The bearings on the cooling fan are going - I can hear that tell tale whine even after the AC breaker to the unit is secured.

Before I break the unit open, and see if the fan is even accessible for cleaning/replacing if necessary, I figured I'd ask around and see if anyone else had dealt with the same issue.

Thanks in advance ....

Paul, I haven't come across that yet especially on a 5 year old unit. I would call Promariner and discuss it with them. They're pretty good to deal with. OEMs will surprise you sometimes with unexpected free parts or services for a failure of their product. I've been very lucky with many OEMs in the past as a result of a 5 minute phone call even on discontinued product.
