Would be nice to keep this in the Electrical section though.....

Along with g36's suggestion in the other thread, if you disconnect shore power and run the genny, will the breaker still trip? Main breakers do fail sometimes, they can seem okay until a load is applied.

Hi, thanks for your suggestion. I will try and run the generator instead of shore power and see what happens. Haven't tried that yet.

I am going to be on the boat in Soddy Daisy this coming Saturday, and I will try to run the generator instead of shore power to see what happens. If people are in the area and they can make themselves available to take an expert look at this issue, please let us know.
