Charger noise

Postby Lastdive » January 15th, 2014, 6:41 am

I have a 3bank C Charger , 3000 series that has a loud continuous hummm. Can this noise be stopped or can anyone recommend a good noise free charger. THANKS!

I installed a new ProMariner; makes no noise.
I also have Charles 3 bank that does not make noise, so I am guessing yours is failing.
Thanks

An easy way to test it is to do a float test. Remove the charger from the boat and place it in water. If it fails to float then you need a new one. :-D

Charles has (or at least had) a fixed rate rebuild program for there chargers. Very through and much less money then replacing them. They were great to work with and it took about two weeks.

Thanks all. Tried the float test and determined my charger was going bad. Purchased a Promariner.
