Carver 3207 Revised - 2015 projects & bow thruster

Postby Mkemper » February 18th, 2013, 9:30 am

About 3 years ago I purchase a 86' Carver 3207. When I purchased it I really liked the layout out with the lower entrance to the bridge and aft cabin. However I felt it needed a better access to the swimplatform and was lacking a radar arch and aft hardtop. I wasn't a big fan of the tube ones.

Anyways I have been busy updating. I will start from the beginning and catch up to my latest updates

I have a large library of pictures below:

Hi Mkemper, that was quite a project with impressive results (I followed it over on YachtForums). I have a question about your sat tv dome mount. That appears to be an RV style unit instead of a marine version. My question is how did you attach it to your narrow radar arch. I am looking at a similar unit but am concerned about providing a solid mount.

Thank's. I figured I'd catch up before posting this years projects

Below is the mount. When I made the arch i buried the bolts and mounting plate in the layup. I re did it in aluminum this year and had it power coated. The last one was SS and weighted over 50#. I installed the tracstar system but for some reason it never powered up. I am debating selling for a couple hundred for parts on Craigslist.
